Help with a Multi-cycle plan option

Hi Ladies, I've not posted for while after my failed NHS cycle. I've been reading all your post and it's kept me going. I'm looking at having another go. I'm thinking of taking on the multi-cycle plan with Assured Fertility. Has anyone used them in the past? I need some feedback as money is really tight and I'm looking for best value for money.

Thank you ladies for all your brave post. Sending you all baby dust

Hi,

I used acsess fertility, 3 rounds 70 percent back. I didn't get any nhs funding and we are now on our third fresh cycle. It's been a god send knowing we get some money back to continue with ivf, as we will have enough for a few more rounds either here or abroad.

Just remember the drugs arent included in packages so that's been approx a grand per cycle and icsi at £1390 per cycle at my hospital if you need that for male factor.

The company have been great to deal with and they have told us they will get the refund back to us within 2 weeks if this one fails. Knowing I get money back to continue has helped slightly with the stress and anxiety.

Good luck and all the best Xx

Sorry I forgot I think different hospitals and clinics use different companies, it was explained to us at our first ivf consultation after failed iuis. We were given a leaflet about access fertility then Xxx

Hi,

I'm currently on the 2 year unlimited 100% refund plan. So far everything seems okay. Meds can be a bit pricey and the bloods and sudden meds the clinic need to throw in. If you've taken the potential costs of the meds into account and the costs of extra bloods you might need that fall outside your plan then go for it. As long as you are aware of what is covered and what's not x

Thanks for the message. I'm looking at Access Fertility at the moment. They've said the clinic would have tocarry out a medical assessment before deciding on what package. I'm trying to be very positive but it's difficult after a failed cycle with low AMH and not very good egg quality.

I hope success comes your way soonest.

Take care of you and stay positive X

We are with access fertility..we moved clinics before starting and at our current clinic the same package is 2k more than the previous clinic so it might be worth shopping around if money is tight xx

Thank you so much for the reply. I contacted Access Fertility yesterday. I'm looking at using their Birmingham hospital as it's closerto home.

I'll still shop around as this journey is already very stressful without the financial worries.

If I may ask, how come you changedto a more expensive clinic?

Good luck with everything.

Hi, we have just signed up to a multi-cycle program with Access Fertility. 2 full IVF cycles with unlimited FETs. I couldn't have the refund cycles as my AMH is low and they wouldn't accept me on it. Plus, they've classed me as having two previous miscarriages so I must be a low-chancer :-( We've gone for it as we know exactly what we're getting for a set amount and we can budget for that. In the mean time, we will be saving again in case of future needs, but hopefully something positive will come from one of the next two cycles. Good luck xxx

We have signed up to the same (x2 IVF cycle package). I was too old for the refund package! (and probably wouldn’t have got it anyway due to previous losses). But after weighing it up it it seemed like a good option for us too. We have been happy with all of our dealings with them so far xx p.s Starsandsunbeams fingers crossed you won’t need those savings for extra rounds 🤞🤞🤞 xx

Hey D_Girl,

I’m currently on the Access Fertility 2 year unlimited 100% refund programme. Thank god as I’ve had many attempts at this point and it’s financially been more than worth it.

The only thing I would say is to do your research on the clinic that you pick (that obviously offers the package) before you commit. I picked a lovely clinic and I can’t fault them in terms of how they’ve treated me etc... and it was down the road from my house which was the main reason.

HOWEVER, having had quite a few failed attempts at this point, I’m starting to want and potentially need further tests or procedures that my clinic don’t actually offer. They don’t do PGS / PGD so I can’t have that, they don’t offer IMSI which I may have started looking in to, they are not really believers in the NK stuff and so we don’t really explore that. I’m going somewhere else for the ERA.

I spoke with Access Fertility and asked if I could transfer to another clinic that offers the package... but after a long deliberation they said no it was impossible.

So you are ‘stuck’ with that clinic for the entire 2 years of you pick that package. And as in my position if you come across many failed attempts and further investigations which may be needed, make sure the clinic you pick to begin with offer extensive treatments to cover all possibilities.

Hope that helps, had I have known I may have needed slightly more efforts / tests when we started this journey I would have picked somewhere else. Although I like my clinic very much, I just have to keep trying now in the hopes that it works without any extra stuff that they could do! X

Thankyou so much Halli23. Your message is really helpful.

I chosed Care Birmingham. I'll do a lot of researchabout it because I've already had one failed cycle with Guys and st Thomas in London.

It's very challenging going through this journey. I'm thinking of starting a 2nd job.

I hope it's all worth it in the end.

I really hope things work out for you as well. There's lots of debate about how relevant most of these test are but when you're in our position, you just want to try everything. Thanks again for your reply
