How many hours (not days) did you supplement progesterone before transfer of a 5 day blastocyst?

I'm doing a natural + trigger FET of a 5 day blastocyst.

My FET is scheduled for 8am Monday morning.

I trigger tonight (Monday) at 8pm.

I'm trying to work out exactly which day I'd need to start progesterone injections/pessaries. i

I am triggering at 9pm tonight (Monday)

I know they say 5 days of progesterone prior to 5 day FET but does that mean I start progesterone supplementation on Wednesday or Thursday morning? Is the transfer morning the fifth day?

Or do you calculate 24 hours x 5 days which is 96 hours (which would mean starting progesterone on Wednesday morning)?

If any of you have had a successful pregnancy of a natural + trigger FET of a 5 day blastocyst can you remember the timeline please?

I’d say Wednesday morning but definitely check with your clinic!

It’s been a long day so I can’t even begin to work out hours 😂 but I’ve always had my transfer in the morning and have had 5 full days prior to that (so transfer day is technically the 6th day of progesterone). Mine are medicated though if that makes a difference. Good luck! X

Thanks for replying.

I would have thought Wednesday wss right too but my clinic are saying start on Thursday morning so it's only 4 days of progesterone before transfer. Argh so frustrating! Hope your evening is lovely xx

Check with your clinic, but on my natural FET with trigger I had transfer seven days after trigger. So I triggered on Wednesday night, I was told to start progesterone 3 days later which was Saturday morning and then transfer was the following Wednesday afternoon at 2pm. So it would have been 102 hours to be very precise. If you compare it to a fresh cycle, you trigger, you have a drug free day, you have EC and the day after EC you start progesterone. It's exactly the same time period between trigger and transfer.

Thanks so much for clarifying. This sounds like what I'm doing. Trigger tonight and then start progesterone on Thursday. Transfer Monday morning. Many thanks xx
