Hello. I am new to this forum after 16months ttc. I have been prescribed 50mg Clomid for 6 months and if no success due to start ivf in Feb next year.

I just wondered if anyone else has had any success with Clomid?

I am having quite a lot of side effects - night sweats, low mood but hopefully it will be worth it :)

Hi Noodles. The drug Clomid has been around many years now, and is often the first choice in treating fertility problems. Obviously you need to know whether your Fallopian tubes are completely clear before starting. If not checked, then perhaps after two cycles, if nothing has happened, then ask about your tubes. Unfortunately, it can make you feel pretty "rubbish", but do remember to drink plenty of water, as it can sometimes help. It can be a successful drug, so fingers crossed that works for you.

Thanks for the advice Diane. I have had a number of blood tests as well as ultrasound scans and an internal scan and haven’t been advised of blocked tubes. Thanks

Cheap Clomid - onlinecheappills.com/clomid... Me and my husband tried to have another baby for about 4 years. I took clomid for 5 days and I ovulated and found out 3 weeks latter I'm having a baby and recently at 8 weeks along I found out I'm having twins.

Hi Noodles, I fell pregnant on my first cycle of clomid though sadly I lost the pregnancy. I don't actually have issues with ovuIation, but I guess it did boost everything somehow! I really struggled with Clomid side affects, and my advice is don't be afraid to take a month off here and there if you are planning on using 6 months worth, it doesn't stop it's effectiveness (as far as I'm aware )and it did me the world of good to have a break from taking it (even though I only had a few months of prescription).

Definitely some ladies on here have had success. Good luck xx

Hi, I was on it for 3 cycles and I conceived the last month but misscarried :(

A older lady used it 18 years ago and had triplets.

I did feel pretty crap at times on it but she didn’t feel any different. Everyone is different. Good luck xx

I had 6 months of clomid but although I ovulated every time, I still didn’t catch. Nothing wrong with my tubes either. It just didn’t seem to work for us! We’re now having IVF this month. Some women have success, others not so much. I found it made the lining very thin as well which I don’t think helped.

Hi Noodles, I'm on my 6th month of clomid and haven't had any success so far but its different for everyone. I had some side effects (mood, headaches) and agree that lots of water did help. It also shortened by cycle dramatically which was confusing to begin with but i guess makes sense!

Good luck and fingers crossed for you! Xx

Oh no, keeping my fingers crossed for you. The side effects have been terrible, I’m just been diagnosed with a ruptured ovarian cyst after severe pain for a week. Hope it will all be worth it 😢xx

Oof poor you that sounds awful!! Hope you're on the mend soon and that you have some joy with the Clomid- thats the only thing that will make the side effects worth it! Sending you massive luck and positivity xx

Hello. I was on clomid for 4 cycles and then fell pregnant (currently 15 weeks). I have PCOS so it was given to me to help regulate everything. It worked to grow the folliciles but I still needed regular internal scans and an injection each cycle to make me ovulate (otherwise the folliciles just kept growing and growing until they were massive!). The worst side effect I had was hot sweats, they continued throughout each cycle but I slowly got used to managing them. I was told that it wouldn't work if my tubes are blocked. I tried to have the dye test and they couldn't do it (they needed a more advanced and experienced doctor apparently!). I was then on the waitlist for the procedure where they check your tubes via a small operation via your bellybutton. Whilst I was on the waitlist, we continued with Clomid and thankfully it worked. I hope this helps x
