False positive????

So my test day is Tuesday. I’ve just done a test despite saying I wasn’t going to test early. 🙈🙈. Can you get a false positive if I’ve done it four days before test day???

I have no experience with any BFPs myself unfortunately but have definitely seen a lot of + HPTs online and that definitely looks strong. I mean, it's not at all a squinter! Even online it's clearly a positive! I have defo learned from being on other forums for several years that blue dye tests are most likely/most guilty of false negatives but...that's defo a positive hun & you've only tested 3 days early - I reckon it could be... I have everything crossed for you 🧡

Thank you lovely. I’m not getting hopes up just yet. I’ve got fluid in a Fallopian tube and will need an op if this fails. I’ve only got a 25-30% chance of it working at all. The clinic advised me to go ahead with transfer as I’ve got 6 top grade embies that were good for freezing aswell as the one they implanted. The 2ww is a nightmare 🙈🙈🙈. I’ve read so many books over the past few weeks 😂😂 xx

Think what’s making me believe that it’s a false positive is the percentage chance and also the fact that I’ve googled since i took the test and they’ve said that testing early can create a false positive. Was so adamant I wasn’t going to test early and think I kidded myself on in Tesco that I was buying it for Tuesday😂. Ive been so adamant all the way through I wasn’t going to test early🙈🤦🏻‍♀️ but I clearly have the breaking strain of a kitkat! Lol xx

It's amazing you have 6 top grade embryos!! I think the chances of a natural conception are around 25-30% per cycle too and think how many women with no complications fall pregnant all the time (& boy don't we know it!!) so honestly don't get bogged down by the stats.

I used to kid myself on like that too 😂 the temptation is just sometimes too much, isn't it! Do you think you'll keep testing now until Tuesday or will you be able to hold off until test day?? 🧡

Not sure. At the moment I’m thinking I’ll wait until Tuesday but I wasn’t going to test today either so god knows! 😂😂. The test was frigging taunting me for hours I was walking to the kitchen where it was and then talking myself out of it and going back to the living room before finally relenting! 😂😂. I probably shouldn’t have bought it! 🙈🙈🙈🙈

That's so funny. I can imagine it exactly as you described, the HPT staring at you every time you walked back into the kitchen. I TOTALLY get the temptation to test early! Emotionally, it's hard either way so you decide what's best for you between now & Tues 👍

Testing early won’t give you a false positive, unless you’ve taken a hcg trigger shot. They say not to test early because there’s a chance it could be negative by your test day but as you’ve got a positive now that would mean you’ve had a chemical pregnancy which means the embryo implanted but then didn’t develop any further. I think that’s looking good for you 🤞🏻 xx

7 days but I’m scared it’s a false positive 🙈. My chances are so small of it working I can’t let myself believe it’s actually positive until my test day on Tuesday. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

I know it must be hard to believe. I’ve yet to have my BFP and if I ever get one I think I’ll take dozens of tests to check. Yes the odds are stacked against us but I’ve seen lots of success stories on here 🤞

That's looks positive to me! The only thing that would give a false positive is a trigger shot before egg collection but that should be well out of your system by now! Yeyyy!! Congrats.xx

My booster was two weeks ago today, I’m all over the place. I’m still going to wait until Tuesday before I let myself jump around my house 😭. Ive been TTC for ten years I just can’t believe this is real at the moment 😱

Congratulations looks like you have your BFP ❤️ I felt in disbelief when we had our second BFP ( first was a CP) & I couldn’t believe we could get so lucky after TTC 7 years ( can’t imagine how hard 10 years would be) the BFP is now a 3 week old little girl lying on her Daddy & i am still shocked we got our miracle baby!!! I think all the years of trying & not conceiving makes us doubt it’s real I kept thinking it was too good to be true! Silly hey?! Anyway all the best with your pregnancy hope it goes well ❤️xoxo
