Ok so those of you with pid, which treatment did you find worked best? You may have seen my recent post about pid. My infection has flared up again, im ill and in pain. I rang my gp monday who had no clue and was useless. Kept saying as my chlamidya was lay dormant i couldnt possibly have it again. She didnt seem to think i had pid, even though i was diagnosed with it by the fertillity specialist after they saw the state of my tubes, and found chlamidya antibodies in my blood. Not active but there. Its been there they think about 20 years! I never knew, hence the state of my tubes today. Since she wouldnt help me im having to order the treatment myself online( proper chemists only), and wondered which is the most recommended. I also found out today that my partner did not even pic up his antibiotics! Obviously should have been treated as i had it in my blood. His dr said he was fine but wrote him the prescription anyway, which he never picked up as he was embarrassed! I thought he had had them when i did back in february. Oviously disgusted with him as he has clearly reinfected me. Any experience on what worked for all of you would be appreciated. I cant trust my gp, i may aswel ask the cat x

Hi Purplewitch. I wondered whether you could ask for a blood test to check for culture and sensitivity. so the offending bug can be isolated and the correct antibiotic prescribed that it is sensitive to. Good luck! P.s. don't know why this in italic, must have pressed a wrong key!! Diane
Hi Diane, my drs arent allowed to send you for the antibody blood test, you have to be referred and thats a really long wait! They say they can only do a swab which wont show anything. Ive ordered 2 types for pid which you can take together, so i hope that gets it sorted. Other half has ordered them too and i also made him pay for mine lol.
Hi. It's not antibody checking it is called a culture and sensitivity blood test to see what bus you are growing and the antibiotic(s) best to treat it. Oh well, let's hope what you have bought does the trick. Good luck to both of you. Diane
