I thought I would just post a quick update after the crazy situation alongside my donor round, with my surprise BFP as my donor was due to start stims. Last wed my HCG was 23.5 and this Wednesday it was 331 so measuring right on track. Between wed/thur and fri last week the tests actually got a bit lighter so we were sure it was doomed and over. Tuesday I did a test on a whim and there was more of a line. I’ve been testing each morning since and this morning the test line finally overtook the control line. It feels like I’ll never be able to be excited after what we have gone through in the past so for now I am allowing myself a tiny bit of cautious hope. My donor and I did discuss it and decided to still go ahead with the round - we have one follicle at 16 mm two at 15 and two at 12 mm so we’re not looking to get a lot but collection looks to be Sunday I’m excited to see how this goes too. It’s going to be so strange sitting in my husbands position in the cubicle in the clinic waiting for her to be wheeled out of theatre. So much love for her 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

oh wow!! what a situation Orla, it must be quite stressful but (cautiously) exciting at the same time!!! I'm following you with so much hope for both your embryo and your egg donor process <3 <3
Thank you. I’ve never seen tests actually go lighter at the start so I have a nagging worry it was a bad sign. But just feel lucky to have hopefully maybe an embryo or two from my friend whilst this goes on. We were really surprised that only 5 follies grew, she has lots, and really fast too, she will have only done 8 days of stims. So it’s not looking fantastic on that side of things. xx
Orla I'm so happy to read this. Must be incredible stressful but sounds like your heading in the right direction. Keep looking after yourself. Praying that you are announcing your baby in nine months time. Xxxxx
Hi Orla. Just catching up on your latest developments! I know you'll be wanting to be very cautious - but congratulations! How wonderful? Did the donor EC go ok? How are your own numbers doing? Everything crossed for you. Xxx
