That sounds about right but if you get them PGS tested that'll eliminate chromosomal issues and take away some of the risks of miscarriage after a transfer therefore increases the odds of success. Nothing is guaranteed though unfortunately as even pgs normal embryos fail for many reasons some just "bad luck" (I hate that term but sometimes there is no explanation). Best of luck with it all

Hi there,

Don’t think this will help but I was given a 20-30% chance and I was quite disappointed. I told them to adjust those numbers and they looked at me funny 😂. So your 50% looks better and rooting for you!!

Random side note: They have adjusted my medications after 4 days saying the follicles were not responding. They’ve put me on a higher dose of Menopur and I’ve legitimately bloated to the point my wedding band starting giving me a pressure injury. This is also my first IVF.

Best wishes and sending you lots of positive vibes!

I've also got told that the success rate once the embryo reaches day 5 blasto cells is 50%, which means that either it works or it does not work and no one can tell in advance.

I've also got told that my probability of reaching a day 5 blasto, given my age, condition, history and I don't know how many other variables, is about 35%. so my overall probability of live birth is someone around 20-25% (if I remember correctly).

For all blastocysts, they will give you a 50% rate of pregnancy and a 30% rate of a live birth. Higher if you have them PGS tested xx

Me and my husband have a little girl together allready. So not sure if we need to do pgs testing...?

That sounds good! That is the average for non genetically tested embryos, I think. Put It this way, using statistics (I am doing this all the time 😂): if you get 1 embryo 50% chances It works. If you get two: 75% chances at least one works. If three embryos: 87.5% chances at least one works. If four: 94% at least one works!! And by at least one works means that more than one could also work!

If you get more than one the probability of success keeps building on your favour!

Think that naturally, each month a couple with no fertility issue at all has <20% chance of success.

All the best luck 😘😘

Wow! I didn't know that! Sounds sooooo good that would be amazing if that was the case! Xx

Pretty sure we were given a 30% success rate and I got pregnant after my second (frozen) transfer. Those odds sound great! All the best.

Wow thank you! Xx
