I’ve just had my final day 6 update from the clinic about my embryos.
I have been so anxious and upset since yesterday, as the statistics didn’t add up for the amount of embryos that got collected.
I’ve managed to get 6 Frosties, 😱🥳 I cant believe it.
I felt like crying with joy - I’m so pleaded and overjoyed. Now I can focus on the little embie that’s on board ❤️🌈

🤞👍yes well done you! I have had my update and got 5 fertilised out of 10 eggs collected but 2 weren’t mature. We’ll have to see what happens at the update on sat xx
These updates are so horrible, I know the feeling of dread waiting for the next one. If some aren't mature, does that mean they can still pick up as I know some of mine needed a bit longer? Great news that your little embies fertilised and you got a great number - I know thats a great relief ❤️ x
Sadly it’s the eggs that weren’t mature so they couldn’t be fertilised. Have to focus positively on the remaining 5 though 😊xx

I'm going tomorrow 11.10 but won't get results before 5pm so let's see. Its so frustrating isn't it? No I didn't have ICSI - as far as im aware they only do ICSI if there are concerns about sperm on the males side. There could be other reasons to use it but im not entirely sure im afraid x

They didn't really give me a success rate - that I remember anyway. I seen online that my first cycle has roughly 47% chance (although that may not be entirely accurate) Sorry I'm not much help with that one 🙈 I'm 30 years old 😊xx
I have a 4 year old beautiful girl and trying for second for 20 months now. So will be going for ivf/icsi in a few months. Xxx im 37 so a bit older

Eram I noticed you wer asking about ICSI? My clinic (NHS) do ICSI for everyone as they get better results that way. My OH has a normal sperm analysis and they re predicting that I should have lots of eggs, if that happens they are going to do half and half ICSI and traditional IVF, that is in my protocol.

I'm in Scotland, I just had a wee snoop and saw that you're near Birmigham so unfortunately not convenient? Have you already been referred to the fertility clinic? I totally get how frustrating this whole process is, it is def a common theme on this forum :). Have you put your husband on some supplements to improve quality? i've read a few posts with women in a similar situation and some of them have sen improvement. Fingers crossed you get some answers soon!

Any yea my husband is on multi vitamins and zinc. Im 36 and i think its my age.... that may be the reason i cant catch been trying for 20 months now...and my first took me 8 months.... i was 32 then but then again my husbands sperm was fine then as i had it tested back in 2014. Xx
It’s ok. I don’t have any children, We’ve been trying for 2+ years I have PCOS and don’t ovulate. They haven’t told us specifically our odds I think they’ll know better once I start and they see how things fertilise. I think it’s important not to get too bogged down in numbers. Xx
Dr said i have got 1in 3 chance of it working. And yes your right i should not look at numbers xxx i hope this ivf works for you i know its frustrating and even more for those who dont have children you guys are warriors xxxx
