After a fifth straight BFN on Saturday we’ve decided to give up on IVF and we’ll go down the adoption route to get our family.. in the meantime we’re going to go on holiday and then get a puppy to help us heal 💔💗.
Infertility - you’ve beaten us but you haven’t broken us.
IVF has taken everything out of us and unfortunately we’re one of the unlucky few where it just didn’t work and they’re not really sure why but I know our relationship is stronger as a result. We tried our very best and couldn’t have done more so now I think it’s time to bow out gracefully and accept defeat. Thanks to this forum for all the support and I genuinely hope the rest of you get your miracles and I wish you all the best on this incredibly tough road. We are all warriors 💪🏻 each and every one. What a strong and positive post. I can imagine it’s been a long and tough journey for you both. Congratulations on taking back some control and choosing your future; it’s a decision that requires determination and strength, both individually and as a couple.
There is a child who is out there right now who waiting for you to be their mum, they don’t know how lucky that are that it’s going to be you!

Ps Puppies are THE best! I got my little chap 12yrs ago after my 1st BFN; I’m so grateful for the world of difference that he made. Go for it, you won’t regret it!

Thanks Jess. I will stay on here and keep you all posted but we’re going to take a good break from everything and leave it a while before looking into adoption just so we’ve fully come to terms with everything and we’ll go for counselling. I think they need you to have done that before they accept you anyway xx all the best to you

Such a strong and brave post for a Monday morning; thank you. I am sorry the ever so elusive BFP didn't find its way to you, but I wish you and your husband all the very best for the future. My sister and her hubby adopted a baby 18 months ago. She is growing into an amazing little girl, happy, confident and surrounded by love. Whichever route to parenthood is taken, it will be worth every aching step. Take care, and cling on to your incredible attitude, xxx

IVF may not always result in a baby, but it certainly brings teachings on who we are, what we value, why we want what we want, what we need versus what we thought we wanted , and how there’s a greater plan for us than the one we are able to imagine.

Thanks Sarah. All the best to you and good luck! I will stay on here. We need to come to terms with everything first and we don’t even know if we’d be accepted for adoption but we will def have a little family one way or another hopefully in the not so distant future! Xx
