Sorry this is gross and TMI, throat mucus!!!

Hi ladies, I’m just wondering if anyone else has had any issues when using the proestrogen pessaries with throat mucus? Sorry I know TMI, but it is actually driving me nuts, I just can’t clear my throat and I’m concerned all this coughing can’t be good only 3 days past 3 day transfer ☹️ I’m going to stay away from dairy products and try and drink plenty of fluids, but other than that I have no idea what I can do to stop it as it’s pretty constant. Don’t you just love IVF!! X x x

Hi Phillipsjp. Oh dear, not nice! I really don't think it is directly anything to do with the pessaries. I wouldn't worry about coughing upsetting them, as the drug needed, is absorbed in 20-30 minutes of insertion. You could try something like Simple linctus to see if you can get rid of it, or speak to your local pharmacist at the chemist for advice. Good luck! Diane

Thanks Diane, it was more concern about the constant coughing having a negative impact on what may or may not be happening in my womb, the whole 2ww paranoias, but I thought all the contracting when coughing may not be helpful! I might see about some linctus as this is driving me nuts x x
