d8 scan update

So had my d8 scan today and there is a follicle measuring 12mm. I went in to the scan so hopeful but expecting the worst. I’m feeling so happy that we have one little follicle! There are two other smaller ones, who knows they might catch up! Fingers crossed ladies! This is our last go with my eggs before moving into donor eggs Xx

Hello jengi OMG I’m exactly on the same boat as you. Yesterday went for my second scan and they told me I have a follicle growing nicely send two small ones. I was a little sad as I wished there were more but there is always a possibility of the miracle baby right and also hoping that the other 2 grow more! I’m also on the same meds as you are. Hopefully we both get our BFP.

It is difficult because really it’s a numbers game. With only one or a few, the odds are stacked against us! But I keep telling myself it only takes one! It’s been such a difficult journey but I’m ready to move to donor eggs if this fails. Are they doing ICSI with you, please make sure they do! Hope you are feeling ok with all the injections. I’m very tired and struggling to concentrate at work. Good luck & keep me posted! Xx

We signed some documents about doing icsi but I think they will decide at the time.

I actually don’t feel bad with the medicines but I can’t stop reading things about 1 egg success. Tomorrow I will have my other scan and see how that goes. This is my first time doing IVF. I will keep you posted.

It really only take one and we can be the luckiest mums (miracle babies can happen) are you doing it through the ‘NHS or privately? I’m doing it through the NHS

Good morning! I’m still on NHS funding and I’ve my next scan this morning too! If you only have one or few eggs it’s worth asking them to only do ICSI, it’ll give you a better chance of fertilisation!

My tummy feels very uncomfortable, it didn’t feel like this last time. No idea if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Guess I’ll find out later!

Hello I just finished my scan and I turns out I only have one follicle actively growing it was 12mm and now it’s 17mm so they are planning on retrieving it. But I’m a little bit disappointed because the doctor I saw didn’t say much just told me that they would give me a call later today.

Im hoping so badly that it’s my miracle one follicle baby 🤞🏼

Fantastic! Stay positive & let’s hope for a juicy egg inside! Have you been on short or long protocol? Are they retrieving it on Monday? I had only one follicle last time and it took me 17 days to grow it to 17mm. Unfortunately it didn’t fertilise with IVF. Please ask them to do ICSI with your one precious egg. 🤞🏻

Yes let’s hope for a juicy egg. I don’t know about the protocol Im guessing is short as I’m in day 7. They called me for another scan tomorrow and blood test for my and my boyfriend . Let’s see what they say 🤞🏼 But I think they are retrieving on Monday. Thank you for your advice xx
