So as the title says this is a failed transfer, I’ve known since just a couple of days after transfer. I’ve only done a couple of tests as I just knew it wasn’t even worth it, but today at 8dp6dt of 2 embryos, a FRER 6 day early test is as blank as it can be. OTD isn’t until Friday but it’s not possible that this will change so I’m stopping pessaries today as no point in dragging it out.
Can’t believe we are pretty much back at square one after 5 fresh rounds.
Hi Orla, don’t stop the pessaries just yet! If your test date isn’t until the 21st of December then testing on the 16th is far too early. It’s true some women get an early response but not all, it just depends on the level of Hcg and that can vary hugely. You might be right, and that is so very sad, I know the pain all too well, but I wouldn’t give up hope just yet, they give you a test date for a reason xx
I think it’s not possible at all by now? It’s the equivalent of 14dpo xx
It’s still possible lovely, but you might be right, and it may not have worked this time which would be bloody awful, but at least you know you’ve shoved all the right stuff in the right place as it were! Do it by the book and then you’ll know you did everything. It truly sucks IVF, and after 5 fresh transfers I don’t blame you for not having much hope. Keeping my fingers crossed for you xxx
Please carry on until OTD....I tested a day and a half early and got a negative test, but once I got to OTD is was positive....I know 2ww is just awful but hang in there. Best of luck xx
I guess I should add that although positive for a week, the test got weaker after that and a blood test shows I had 24 ui/L and been told the pregnancy isn’t viable, so obviously there are risks after the 2ww too.😢
I definitely would do another one on Friday just to be sure! OTD is Friday so do another one then! May just be you haven’t got enough hormone in your blood to detect xxx
I don’t know... I’ve been pregnant 3 times (all failed) and they had all shown by now and all had implantation cramps and spotting... I’ve had nothing.
These ones in the past failed. This one is different. It's way way too early to give up. Don't stop your pessaries and do not give up. Your otd is test day for a reason. Lots of people go through a wobble st this time but you have to hang on in there x
Definitely keep going - there is a reason clinics specific OTD and that’s because there is still a chance things can change
Every cycle is different - just because a previous pregnancy happened in specifics ways and specific symptoms it doesn’t mean this one will follow
I know it’s really hard in the 2ww but try and keep positive

Agree with others don’t stop medication until negative is confirmed OTD. It could be too early to test. I didn’t implant until 12 days post ovulation. Implantation can occur much later. Really hope you have BFP otd ❤️❤️❤️xoxo
I tested on day 8 and it was negative, I tested again on OTD and it was positive. I am now 33 weeks pregnant. Don’t stop the pessaries or lose hope yet, test again on Friday. Look after yourself. Lots of love xxx
Day 8 past a 5 or 6DT? Was it an FRER test that was negative? They are so sensitive that they normally pick up even the tiniest trace

I’m so sorry, but as everyone else has said stick with the pessaries for now, I have read that frozen embryos can be slower to implant. x
Agreed, even at my 6 week scan my little bean was a few days behind, then all fine at 8 weeks. Frer can definitely be slower and you are 5 days away from otd. Don't give up xx

Don’t ever give up pessaries until your OTD! No matter how badly you think it’s over.... I’m currently on 8dp5dt and I’m having cramping and pink spotting and feeling like it’s not worked, I think I’ll crack and test tomorrow, day 9, but my OTD is also Friday 21st...until you see bright red blood please don’t give up xxxxx
I am also 8dp5dt today and having mild cramp and brown spotting.

Hi Orla, miracles happen and im praying this is your miracle. I really feel for you and everyone is rooting for you. Stick with the pessaries. I tested 1 day early and had a negative only to be told the next day (OTD) that its a postive. Im 15 wks now. Please please dont give up. I know it must be really hard for you. I can only imagine your pain. Good luck to you both and i hope your dreams are answered xxx

Can completely empathise with you wanting it over with if it's bad news but after everything youve been through would you really want to kill off any chance just over a matter of a few days of pessaries ?
Maybe ask the clinic to do a blood HCG test as that is more accurate
So many stories of women having late implantation- and just as every baby is different so is every pregnancy
It may not have worked and I'm truly sorry if it hasn't but please don't make a rash decision whilst you're upset - you may seriously regret it later

I am so happy to hear this. It's really tough physically but bay far the toughest is the mental pressure this journey puts us all under. Hang on in there, see the differences as positives. We are all here for you. Xxx
Orla don’t stop your meds! On my last transfer I bled early and had a negative test the day before and knew I was out but still did my injections and pessaries that day as per instructions. You May be right but unless you’re like a hundred and fifty percent sure then stick with the plan xx
You might be right but just in case it is worth keeping going with the pessaries until Friday. You won’t then have any doubts that you did all you could to try and make it work xxx
I don't think you should stop meds even if you have given up much of your hope! There is still time for it to change, I've seen it with other ladies before. My friend had a negative on day 11 and positive on day 14....has a little girl now. I don't want to give you false hope but it can happen. Big hugs.xx
Hi Orla. So sorry to read this, it’s just so unfair when a Bfn happens. Tbh I have done in the past what you are suggesting as just known it’s been a negative and didn’t see the point in prolonging any further....however...in your case Fridays a good 5 days off yet and things can massively change in that time, it’s not like it’s only 1-2 days away from testing, so if I was you I’d continue with the meds 👍🏻 you just never know! Xx
Hi Orla, sending lots of love. As others have said, it's worth sticking with the plan until test day, then you know you've done everything you could, and who knows, it could even make a difference. Every cycle is so different.
Distract yourself as best you can and keep asking the meds for another few days? Hugs and lots of mental strength for u xx
