False positive OPK test?

Does anyone know if you can have a false OPK result? I miscarried just under 2 weeks ago and randomly did an OPK test this morning and it was positive. I wasn't expecting it quite so soon so not sure if it is a false positive? I've never had a positive OPK test so was very surprised!

Sorry to hear of your miscarriage. I’ve read somewhere in the past that OPK’s can also detect HCG as well as LH (could all be false though, you know what the internet is like!) so it could still be picking up residual in your system not sure how long it would take to drop. If a pregnancy test is negative though then it’ll definitely be an LH surge and perhaps your system has been kick started, they do say you are more fertile for a few months after a loss xxx

Thank you. Hmm just done a pregnancy test and it was positive so that’s probably why! X

I had a positive opk 2 weeks after my mc at 13w I had already had negitive pregnancy test done at the hospital. I got my period 2 weeks after that so it was defo a positive test.

Hi, Im so sorry about your MC. I know your body gets out of wack after an MC but actually 12-14 days into a cycle is I believe about I right to ovulate so it could be right. In terms of natural fertility I was advised not to go by the tests but more by physical signs of egg white mucous being the time when you are most fertile. Sometimes they say you are more fertile after a MC too.

Sadly I got a positive pregnancy test today so it’s a false positive I think. Need to wait for the HCG levels to go down x

Oh I’m sorry to hear that- I know you just want to move on and it’s hard when your body doesn’t help you. Be kind to yourself in the mean time - your body just needs some more time to re- adjust. X

Dont worry it can take a while to get back to normal my cycles havent been quite right since my last mc. My first mc my cycles werent right for probably for 4 cycles after. It just takes time xx take care
