IVF egg collection and transfer day

Hello Guys

I just had my egg collection on 25th October and they got 8 eggs which is good I hope! And today my hubby got a call from the embryology department at Bourn Hall in Cambridge where I am having my IVF and they said 6 eggs fertilized and were looking at a day 5 transfer which hubby replied thats good!

They have said they will call us and let us know when to come. Im just abit puzzled as how can they check if the embryo will reach day 5 when they did egg collection on 25/10. They mentioned it might be a day 3 transfer aswell but just have to wait and see!

Hi

I had my egg collection on 23rd October and got 8 eggs also. My transfer might be on Sunday or possibly Monday (day 6), told me not to worry re 6 days. 2 are looking good, would be nice to be able to freeze as well. My clinic usually do 5 day transfers but heard others do 3 as well, I guess it depends on what stage they are at on that particular day. Good luck for transfer!

Thank you guys for the wishes, hubby just called the embryology department and they have said they are developing nicely some eggs have 6 cells and 4 cells. We had egg transfer on 25th oct, does that count as day 1 or 0? So today would be day 3? Is that good to have 6 cells and 4 cells by this day?

Hii guys just a quick update, I had my embryo transplant on 30th October and We had 3 eggs frozen which reached blastocyst stage so happy with this. Now on 30th October does that count as day 1 or is day 1 like today 31/10?

So far i havent had any symptoms and probably might do in the next few days! It feels really strange as I cannot feel anything in tummy or a embryo has been put in! Weird I know it sounds! Hubby is asking me to be extra catious! And has taken ownership of the daily house chores bless him! My pregnancy test date is 9th November. Hope everything goes okay and I get a BFP

Congratulations. Today is 1dp5dt and 9th November will be 10dp5dt. So this is day one. The embryo is so small that anything you feel at the moment would be discomfort from transfer or symptoms from drugs.

I hope you enjoy this time of hubby doing his fair share of the chores. 🤣

But seriously do try to do things that you like and things to take your mind off and your eyes away from aunty Google.
