Sac and yolk no baby

Hi ladies I went for an early scan today and was told there was a sac and yolk but no baby, she said it was still early but at 6+6 I really expected to see something. Anyone had a positive outcome of and baby shown up at this stage. 😭

So sorry.

No experience of this but I have had bad news at an early scan. It’s devastating.

Maybe your baby implanted later & that’s why it’s a bit behind. It’s still very early & I don’t know why they insist on such early scans. I don’t think women should be scanned until 7/8 weeks where it’s easier to see everything. I think it causes more stress than it does good ( that’s why we declined one)

Hopefully some of the ladies can give you some reassuring stories ❤️

I went for a scan at this stage and saw the sac and yolk and no baby... a few days later had another scan and baby was there... don’t loose hope yet as it’s still very early xxx

They're right, its still super early to see baby! Try to hold on to a little hope that things can change very quickly at this stage. Hopefully you have another scan in the pipeline!xx

Thank you ladies. I broke down in there and both my OH and I said we wanted to go straight home so the hospital phoned, they have booked me in next Friday but said the sac is measuring 5 weeks (not sure if she said it had stopped growing or not) she said her fears are the same as mine in that bring a miscarriage but has her fingers crossed it will change but bviously wait till next week to confirm.

I had an empty irregular sac at that stage and then a week later saw a heartbeat. I’m now 15+2 so there is hope.
