Period isn't coming

Hi ladies

So I'm due to start my ivf cycle with my next period and been asked to call in on 1st day of period but I'm now 3 days late with no sign of it coming. I have took tests and negitive. What if my period just doesn't come? Will i not be able to start. Any advice appreciated. Thanks x

Oh hunny its just the stress of ivf. My first round...my period was nearly 3 weeks late! And I'm never late! The nurse at my clinic even said it's normal for periods to go awol when we want it come for ivf, she sees It all the time. Just try and relax it will come hang in there 😊 xx

Same thing is happening to me! And it happened on my first round too. It will be ok - it's just weird body-mind stress. I'm on day 38 or something.... Its frustrating but not a big problem (apart from the fact you can't plan anything!!)

No! I've half given up - can't handle the stress and waiting. So I'm just getting on with life, see what happens x

I'm doing a flare / short protocol. I saw further down the thread that you are moving house soon - that was like me on my first cycle. My period came so late I ended up delaying treatment a couple of months, also because I was trying to do ivf before a really crazy period at work with lots of trips away. Nightmare.

Moving house will mean your mind is very full, even if you don't feel very stressed. I don't know if the clinic can do anything, you could call and ask, they will probably say to try to relax and wait.

Anyhow, I'm hanging on there with you, trying not to think about it. It's so annoying! Xx

thanks ladies. should i call the clinic to tell them im late or do i just need to wait on it arriving? they have booked my scan provisionally for 28th oct. xxx

I would hang fire as to whether you need to change your scan, plenty of time at the moment to change it. Hopefully wont be too long until it does arrive and you can just ask them at that point if you need to change your scan date! Good luckxx

As someone with very irregular periods I know how you feel. Speak to the clinic because I have had medication to bring periods on but bare in mind I have gone months without a period.

Nurse is going to call me back tomorrow and let me know what iv to do. Moving house on 15th Nov. Possibly stressed and don't know it. Took another test tonight and defo not pregnant. Who knows but not a lot I can do so getting on with things for now xxx
