Good morning all!

I’m sorry if it seems that I’m not really here for you all. I’m a bit busy at work, I read your post at my desk and, as I’m not allowed to log into my account, I can’t reply. But I’m genuinely happy for your successes and sad for your sad moments.

We’ve been at the clinic last week to sign all the consents and for my bloods results.... and apparently I’m not immune to rubella, so we’ve been put on hold as I need to get vaccinated first.

So basically I’ve my rubella vaccine tomorrow in the morning. Then I’ve to wait a month, have a blood test done at my GP to check if I’m finally immune. With the results (if everything will be ok) we can call the clinic on day 1 of period for more bloods on day 21.. and a MCCT scan (?).

Then, we will probably could start on early January (if nothing else happens) as the clinic will be closed for Christmas 4th-27th Dec 😞

It really seems that we’ll never start. I’m so tired of waiting, and so discouraged.

Anyway. Good luck and blessings to you all. Xxx

Don't worry if you can't always reply.

I had to wait last year over the Christmas period as my clinic closed too. It was a pain but you will get going with treatment soon.

I'd use this time to relax if possible as once you get close to starting you'll probably be excited nervous and stressed.

It'll all be worth it in the end. Hang in there. Xxx

Thanks Genten! I know that I’m upset for nothing. It’s just that that I’m an impatient person and I get anxious when things don’t go how “planned”.

Do you know what a MCCT scan is? Nurse at my last appointment was not really clear..

How’s you going?

Xxx

I'm the Same! So impatient! But I have learned to curb that a bit as nothing seems to go to plan were IVF is concerned.

I don't know to be honest, can you call the clinic to ask? If you can, try to be put through to a nurse.

Going ok, had appointment on Monday, were going to do ICSI on our next cycle. I can call for treatment this month but I'm thinking to hold off until November as I don't feel right in myself. Xxx

Hi TerryNaples. Just to let you know that you are no longer "restricted". Couldn't really see why you were, but anyhow, hope all goes well with the treatment cycle when it starts. Diane

Hi Diane, thanks for your reply! X

Do you mean “restricted” for not being immune to rubella and have had to delay my treatment start?

I was told that I couldn’t start if I did not have the vaccine done. Maybe it’s the NHS requirements? I’m going to go through ICSI with MHS founding.

Hi. No, I thought you meant you had been restricted to use the HU site, when you said you couldn’t log into your account, so as an administrator I checked you were ok to do so. Probably my old brain getting confused! Diane xx

It’s only that at my work we’re not allowed to log in with external websites. That’s why it seems that I never reply to posts on here. Xxx

Hi I had a mcct a few weeks ago in Glasgow. It’s a test to make sure when they do the transfer they can get the catheter in. I had to have it as I had lletz treatment previously. It was like going for a smear test. I did get a bit of a fright when they gave me the nice gown and hat to wear but all the staff were lovely.

😱 it is painful?

I’ve had the same treatment 2 years ago, so that’s why!

Anyway, thanks for your reply 😊
