💔 early miscarriage again

Following an early miscarriage July/Aug we took a few weeks out, had a holiday & break from everything!!

To our utter surprise last week - on the morning of our hospital follow up app’mnt for the last cycle - we got out first ever natural positive!! Hospital confirmed it with a HCG of 96 (at 4weeks)!! But sadly today it’s all over once again at 5 weeks with heavy bleeding and cramps!! 😢

Just so broken with it all - that’s a 10wk MMC, and 2 x early (5-6 wk) miscarriages in the space of 6 months!! Not sure how much more we can take!! 💔

our clinic have done recurrent miscarriage blood tests, so we’ll see if anything comes back in those!!

Sorry for another sad post ladies, and really wishing every one of you strength & luck in this tough fight!! xx

I’m so sorry. please don’t apologise as much it is upsetting ( I get so sad for those going through it) you need an outlet. It’s a dreadful thing to go through once let alone four times you poor thing. 😢 I really hope one of the tests shows something & it’s just a little tweak which will give you your much wanted & deserved rainbow baby. Thinking of you during this difficult time wishing you the strength to get through it xoxo

I’m so sorry for your losses, it must be so raw right now. When you’re ready and if nothing comes back from miscarriage testing then have a look at natural killer cells testing. I went to a great clinic for mine after 4 miscarriages, message me if you would like the details xxxx

Hi Leo, I'm really sorry to hear your news. I have also suffered 4 losses in a row. I'm glad your clinic has carried out recurrent miscarriage tests - not sure if you are receiving treatment on the NHS but if not you are also eligible for free tests at your local Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic. Theses can include karyoptyping which may help to identify if the miscarriage is due to chromosomal problems and also if you or your partner are a carrier of a faulty gene (I was told this is very rare however I know of ladies on this forum who have experienced this). You should also be offered early reassurance scans and may be eligible for free quad therapy (prog, blood thinners, steroids) to support your next pregnancy. Thinking of you at this horrible time xx

Thank you so much, this is really helpful!! It’s an NHS clinic and the bloods are being done at the Fertility Clinic as part of follow up from my last NHS cycle!! Our next cycle will be private!! They never mentioned chromosome testing tho, just the bloods!! I wonder should I ask them? Or is it a seperate referral to miscarriage clinic? 🤔xx

Hello Leo.I asked my local EPU for a referral after I attended for medical management for my second miscarriage (3 are needed for referral if under 40). I would ask your GP or EPU to refer you. Unfortunately I was only offered the couples karyotyping after testing on the tissue identified a chromosome abnormality but I still think it is worth asking for this upfront if the blood tests don't throw up any other issues. I think Tommy's website also has information on the tests you should be offered. Xx

So sorry for what you're going through. I know this is hard. I really understand how you feel. I feel the same way. It hurts so much. My DH & I’ve been trying to have baby for 7yrs. Unfortunately we’re still ttc. We tried clomid, IUI, IVF. When we tried to do IVF my body didn’t response well to the meds. So we ended up doing IUI but no success. Then we did IVF. They gave me other strong meds. I’ve got preg but lost it. I was devastated… I thought that it would be ok at last. When I read you post, it came back again… The pain I had… But knowing that you are not alone in this endeavor gives me a lot of support. Be strong in your faith. We all should be. Talk to your DH about your feelings. I'm sure he will understand the situation. Same thing happened to us (me &DH). Most of men don’t show their emotions. They don’t like to see us going through this. But we have to let out emotions out. We have to vent it somehow. I’m still positive that I'm going to get pregnant again. Hopefully naturally but if we need to do ivf again or use donor eggs, I'll do it. Hang in there. Don’t give up hope. Take care.
