I'm just wondering what everyone does to chill out while they go through assisted conception?
Do you distract yourselves with a good book? Chat to a friend? Bake a nice cake? Do yoga?
I'm curious, because although I'm not anxious exactly and pretty happy most of the time, I often feel tense or stressed and I would like to fill my days with a tad more relaxing activities. I have lots of hobbies, but they are not actually that relaxing.

Before I had egg collection I just carried on as normal, went to the gym a lot and I always have lots of plans at weekends, spending time with husband and visiting my family. Keeping busy is definitely a good idea.
After egg collection I took it easy and didn't do too much for a couple of days plus I had a bad back so couldn't go anywhere but for the rest of the treatment I tried to distract myself.
I like to lose myself in a book or box set but I do find I get emotionally involved in them so have to stick to easy readers rather than gripping novels or any beaches type films! Also, I love a walk in nature or down the beach.
There are so many things you can do. I once read an instagram post written by someone who said they were using that time to invest in themselves.
Maybe read some books you've had on your list. Pick up some magazines and have a cup of tea. Take a day trip. Hit a local museum. Try a new recipe. Remember that IVF is exhausting so if you're going that, you may need to rest and your social calendar may need a bit of a break. Invite some friends over and bake or bake for your neighbours. Watch some films you've always wanted to see or have a movie marathon. Rest because napping is so helpful if you're drained during this process like I was our first time around. Get some fresh air - go to a pumpkin patch or farm to pick some vegetables. There are so many options.
Books, day trips (seaside, castles, Arboretums, picnics) box sets, dvds, trips to the cinema... We try to pack in as many day trips as possible so that even if we end up with a bfn we still have nice memories to look back on too xx
