Starting IVF and Suprecur tomorrow

Picked up large bag of meds from hosp pharmacy yesterday and has suddenly made starting IVF feel very real. Start Suprecur tomorrow and very worrried how will impact on my depression and anxiety. How have others found the side effects of Suprecur? X

Hiya, very best of luck with your treatment. It might be worth ringing the nurse at your clinic to ask about potential effects for you. I found this medication gave me pretty awful headaches and left me feeling tired and grotty most days. These symptoms lifted once stimulation phase began xx

Morning,

I’m on day 3 of Suprecur, so far so good tho I have just slept to half 9 which is very unlike me, this isn’t a bad side effect until Tuesday when I start back at work. 🙈😬 The nurse told me any side effects will kick in around day 4, so will have to see what tomorrow brings!!

I was apprehensive before the first jab but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, I didn’t really feel anything.

Are you on a long protocol?

Im on the standard agonist protocol? Fingers crossed the Suprucur doesnt make you sleep in tomorrow, going back to work after a bank hol is bad enough anyway! Best of luck with your IVF😘 xx

Hey, there! I hope you're alright. I just wanna drop in and wish you the best of luck! The medication was okay for me, personally. Just had a really bad headache at times. Can't really pin it on the medicine. But, I think the rest was fine. Good luck to you! May you hear great news.

Hey, I hope you are doing well. I hope your IVF is a success. These medicines have been really good for a lot of people I know about. However, only take them if your doctor has prescribed them to you. I think for IVF everything needs to be done in the most perfect manner. You should be extremely careful with the steps you take. My advice to you would be to also look into acupuncture. A lot of people also go for that. Eating healthily is really important. I hope everything goes well. Just stay positive and strong. I am sure you are visiting a highly successful doctor for your treatment. Do keep us updated about it. The part before the egg retrieval is a bit uncomfortable. However, I am sure you will do well.

Yes I heard the bit up to egg can be a bit uncoformtable. Im already seeing an accupuncturist to help with anxiety levels. She is fab and really understands as she herself has gone through IVF several times. Xxx

Good luck with the start of thr process! Most medicines can cause unwanted side-effects. Although not everyone experiences them. Actually, suprecur puts you temporarily into a mini-menopausal state. So you may experience symptoms including hot flushes, night sweats, headaches and mood swings. For me the last one was irritating. May you be more lucky and experience none of those!
