Hi ladies, I have a quick question I was hope you could advise on. I have been given a corticosteroid for 10 days , 5 days before FET and 5 days after! Is that normal practice?? I have been reading some horror stories on how that can cause miscarriage and inhabit strong placenta development.... have any of you gone through IVF take corticosteroid??

Best to speak with your doctor, as they should be able to check side-effects and any interactions with the IVF drugs. I have arthritis and was waiting for a cortisone injection in my finger... my doctor advised me that I should put off the injection while I was trying to get pregnant... that said, as it isn’t a central limb then I could go back and reconsider that if pain management became a problem. My arthritis symptoms have actually eased now, while I am pregnant, I think due to the progesterone 😊
Have a chat again to your doctor to ease your mind. Wishing you lots of luck in your upcoming FET 🤞xx
Thanks for your reply! The medication was prescribed by my fertility doctor. However will give them a call and try to find out more. The medication is reducing my immunity and I have already caught a cold and my stomach is unsettled!! Don’t know if it is related but think so!
