I've never posted before but hoping people have experienced something similar and can put my mind at ease.
So a bit of background..... I'm in a same sex marriage and from a previous heterosexual relationship experienced a still born at 33 weeks, then in this relationship first round of ivf BFP but miscarried at 6w2d although hormone level suggested I'd lost the baby prior as was very low.... then 2nd round went into ohss so had an all freeze, transferred frozen embie in February had a car accident on way home from transfer, ended in a BFN. We thought our journey was over but then my friend kindly donated some cash towards the cost to us to have another round.
BFP and I'm now 6w2d.....
Last Thursday night I started losing brown blood, early pregnancy unit refused to see me so we paid for a private scan and saw a nice little yolk sac sat there (unfortunately no heartbeat as of yet) was measuring at 5w6d which is exactly what I was....
However I'm still losing this brown blood especially when using the progesterone pessaries provided by the clinic. So that's 4days of spotting and I'm so scared something is going to go wrong.....
Sorry for the long babble just wanted to show my background so you understand my concern....

Hi Sir1988. Just a quick reply. The brown stuff might be some old "gunk" left behind from using the pessaries. You couldt ry inserting them into your back passage or have a quick, warm bath to see if that will clear it up. NO soaking. I've always preferred scans to be done at 7 weeks to ensure a nice clear heartbeat etc. Fingers crossed all is OK for you and that an extra week or two will show a good scan picture. Thinking of you. Did the epu say when they would see you? The one I have been to in my area say 6 weeks but if possible to wait till 7 as it gives better scan results and it is a walk-in.
Some fertility clinics also have an epu that you may be able to use.
Try to not to worry too much, believe me I know it’s easier said than done. X
They said they wouldn't see me until I was at least 7 weeks. We have another scan on Friday that's my viability scan from the clinic I just know I'm gonna fret until then. I have no pain or anything so I'm hoping it's just my cervix being sensitive to the pessaries fingers crossed x
Lots of people have spotting and all works out well. The epu here don't worry or rush unless you start seeing fresh blood which fills a pad within an hour. Spotting is horrible and something that we don't really get told about. But with ivf and the pessaries it is actually quite common. Please try not to worry and try to rest as much as possible.
I lost brown blood until I was 9w6d and I was at epu 5x each time I bled. First time I was just 4 weeks and 4 days and they couldn't see anything, went back at 5 weeks 4 days and sac and yolk and then a week later a tiny little heartbeat. Apparently very normal to have some spotting especially brown the first trimester, I had it on and off till almost end of first trimester along with period type pains which I was told was normal from baby implanting strongly and everything stretching to accommodate it. I know it's hard when had a previous miscarriage as I had had one as well 7 weeks before falling pregnant again not to be scared of everything twinge, spotting etc but to me sounds very normal. Progesterone can also cause irritation and that can cause spotting, like Diane said up the bottom instead of front can help that a lot. Congratulations hun
I was having some pinkish spotting when got prego with my de ivf boy. This was the only ever thing I experience in the run of my infertility strugglings. It was not long though. I guess a couple of hours only. And when I last wiped it was sth like a brownish spot and then it ended. Sorry for TMI but I'm sure this is a good sign of implantation.
