Baseline scan done, now onto stimms!

So all went well at baseline today, got taught how to do stimm injections which seemed pretty complicated but have just managed my first one 😊 did anyone else find the liquid a lot harder to push down the syringe than Burselin?

Yes I found the stims syringes rubbish but you get used to them though! Best of luck.xx

Yes, absolutely! I was on menopur and found it really hard and slow compared to the buserelin but did just get used to it... did my trigger shot last night so no more injections now - not quite sure what I'll do with myself tonight after 35 days of sticking needles in myself 🤣 Good luck with your cycle!

We're in the "5 day wait" at the moment, think that's nearly as bad!! We had 18 eggs, 16 were mature and 11 fertilized via ICSI so we're hoping for at least a couple of really good quality blastocysts - we will find out tomorrow how they are getting on (they said on Saturday morning that no news until Tuesday morning is good news!) and will be going for transfer on Wednesday.

That sounds like a great amount collected and fertilised, everything crossed for you 🤞 any tips during stimming that you think helped create so many mature eggs?xx

I took melatonin during stimming this time round on the recommendation of my consultant... think it made a little bit of a difference although not much as last time round I got 28 eggs with 22 of them mature. I think I just have crazy ovaries!! Our problem seems to have been quality in the past so hoping that we end up with better quality embryos this time after me taking CoQ10, infolic and metformin for months beforehand and hubby has been on proxeed for 6 months! Keeping everything crossed! x
