Looking for any IUI buddies

Hi ladies, we're going to be starting our iui journey in the next few weeks and was just looking for any ladies on the same path or those have have experience to share any tips or knowledge

Monklands in Scotland. Going by my own experience my best tip is never to expect anything to go to plan. Lol. Good luck! If you want to ask me anything feel free. x

That sounded so negative sorry. What I meant was that I thought I could work out what would happen and when but it never quite worked out like I expected. Its difficult to predict how your body will react so try not to get ahead of yourself and take it one step at a time. xx

Haha no I get what you mean. I'm so excited about starting. Still secretly hoping I catch this month. If not I'll be on my way! How did you find the injections? Any tips? Have you caught on any if you cycles, if you don't mind me asking Xx

I’ve just finished my 3rd round of iui, just waiting to start my next 3 soon. The process of the iui is so simple and I had no problems what so ever with the actual procedure. My issue has been since starting iui my cycles have become very irregular which they weren’t before so as lorry1984 just don’t expect things to go to plan. I thought i could predict when I’d ovulate based on previous months but it changed on each of my cycles. But please be reassured the actual procedure is quick and mostly painless. Any help I can be as well just let me know.

Hey thanks for that. Argh I hate it when my cycle is like a few days late lol doesn't stabd me in good stead hey! We only get 3 cycles of iui before ivf so I'm hoping it works! Have you caught on any cycles? X

No unfortunately not got a bfp yet. I’m doing my treatment privately and due to work and cost etc decided to try iui first before the massive commitment of ivf, also hopefully after so many rounds of iui I will qualify for nhs ivf as I’m in a same sex relationship. I thought I had done all the research before and was prepared but I don’t think you can ever be fully prepared.

My partner and I are on a sperm donor waitlist once at the top we will be trying our luck at IUI 2/3 times before moving to IVF. I wish you the best of luck on your journey xxx

Hi.

We are hopefully beginning our IUI Journey early in the new year.

Don't know what to expect , and fully hoped all tests were going to come back fine , unfortunately for my partner this wasn't the case .

Just a waiting game for appointments as our clinic is seriously understaffed 😕

Well we have just ended our first full cycle with a bfn yesterday. The was came back at 2.5 million so the nurse did say if this didn't work we would more than likely be moving onto ivf in the new year. His next wash is on the 4th Dec so hopefully know the plan the week after. If you have any questions about what goes off feel free to message me xx
