2WW is so tough!

I had EC and ET last week and waiting til 29th June..😬 I’ve had quite a bit of cramping since transfer and tender tummy to touch since EC - luckily I took this week off work but filling the days is tough ... how soon could I test as I know I can’t wait ?

Also with fresh IVF cycle when do you typically get a scan and can you pay for one earlier ? As last time with natural pregnancy I miscarried around 7-8 weeks (we found out at 12 wk scan) and would prefer to scan before if possible for peace of mind. Forever hopeful 😇 🥚

The trouble with testing early is you might get disappointed by BFN when actually BFP is just about to happen I do totally get it tho and my daughter got her +'ve 2 days early couldn't wait either! Also she had an early scan at 6 weeks though she was warned they don't always find a heartbeat then she has had a couple of private scans in between the official ones just for reassurance too good luck when you test really hope you get your BFP x

Thank you - did she go elsewhere for her early scans or at a clinic ?

Sorry just saw this she had the 1st scan at the fertility clinic then also had a scan at EPU and a couple of private scans at a local private clinic

Hi I tested at 6dp5dt. But it is better to wait to avoid disappointment. The clinic gave me my first scan at 7weeks 2days which showed a blob and heart beating. Then we paid for a private scan at 9weeks 2days. Just Google ultrasound in your area and there should be at least one place. But you'll get your viability scan with your clinic around the 7 week mark. Good luck xx

As I have zero patience I start testing from 5 or 6 days post 5 day transfer and a good 12-14 days post trigger shot. My positives at this stage have always stayed positive but I had 2 consecutive ivf chemical pregnancies which were detected by blood tests and decreasing levels of hcg. I know it’s hard but stay positive, keep distracted (good book, box set etc) and you’ll get there before you know it. Good luck!! 🤞🏼 xxx

Try not to test before your otd as you could get an unreliable result which could be very upsetting. If you get your bfp you’ll have a scan around 6 weeks. Good luck xx

Same thing here! I had my transfer on Monday so I will have to wait till the 28th. I have promised myself not to test to avoid disappointment. It will not be easy but we must resist!
