Got ec on Friday 🙈😁

Just out my appointment and am back up on Friday for ec am so excited but nervous, how was it for everyone else? Did anyone have any after pain ect xx

Hi Kailz, they will offer you painkillers after - say yes! I didnt have much pain until the next evening and I think its because the painkillers had worn off by then. I had my ec the Tuesday and it was on the Wednesday overnight that I had quite severe pains in my stomach.

The procedure itself, didn't know a thing about it- slept right through! 😂

I attended Glasgow Royal so I can envisage where you'll be on Friday! So exciting- good luck!

Hi Kay_x , I was scared like you before egg collection but I didn't feel a thing. As my DH described, I was sleeping like a pig 🙄. I was asked before EC whether I wanted pain killer afterwards and that was an easy answer 😁. I didn't feel much pain after actually which was an unexpected surprise!

Good luck Kailz!! My first one was quite painful (I can’t lie) but only because I was over stimulated and 30 eggs were collected plus my pain threshold is famously low, I felt better after a few days. My egg collections thereafter were absolutely fine and no pain as only 20 eggs and much less of a strain xxx

I had no problems with mine- sedation was great. I was super tired and went to bed early that day. I also read that some people had problems with constipation so started drinking lactulose a few days beforehand and for several days after. Good luck! X

Hey was fine for me. Was out of it - think I fell asleep!

Everyone is different I think. So see what everyone says....

I won't worry so much if I have to have another one in the future

Mine were fine, sedation was great can’t really remember much, ha! And had very little discomfort afterwards just felt tired, hope all goes well xx
