Thatโ€™s our second cycle officially over with another BFN ๐Ÿ˜ข heartbreaking journey ๐Ÿ’” got one more cycle on the NHS. Looking at possibly moving clinics for the third cycle? And already looking into private clinics if we need a fourth. Also discussing possible investigations. Has anyone had any investigations done theyโ€™d recommend for unknown fertility problems? Looking into pre implantation genetic screening (pgs). But we only get out embies to day 3 so donโ€™t think we can do PGS? I wish you all good luck on your journeys, current and future xx

Awww I'm really sorry to hear that. Does your clinic give you a review at the end? If so it might be worth getting their opinion on things you could try or if you're going private then they may suggest some. I struggled to get many blastocysts. I got 2 early ones and 1 decent one through my cycles. I got told the reason was likely poor egg quality due to my age....I was 38 when I started. I made the decision to move onto donor eggs and on our first go got 6 top quality blastocysts.

Sensing massive hugs! Be good to yourselves, you deserve it!!.xx

Hi, thanks for your reply. We do get a review app. I am 39 and 40 in November so they said thatโ€™s why I donโ€™t stimulate well. Not a great starting block! Hope your well. Congrats on your success with a donor egg. Xx

I'm so sorry to read this Gemmy, it's so heart breaking. Did you know you could possibly have your NHS cycle at a private clinic? If you find a clinic that you like, check if they take NHS patients. If they do you'll need to ask your current clinic to refer you to the new one. I don't know if it's that simple for everyone but fortunately it was for us. We ended up going to a clinic in another city which wasn't awfully convenient distance wise but we are glad we made the move. They were so much more thorough and the atmosphere was a lot nicer. My GP didn't give us a choice of clinics but from what I've read you should be given a list of clinics to choose from, even private ones. It's definitely worth looking into to. Thinking of you xx

Thank you for your advice. I will look into this. Definitely the set up of a private clinic is more appealing. Ours now if very much one in one out! No personal touch. And they donโ€™t offer anymore for us. Iโ€™ve had the highest stimulating drugs they offer. So next cycle would be identical. Thanks again xx

So very sorry to read this. Let's hope the next time will work. Having a plan definitely makes it a little easier to get through your next period of waiting. When it comes to implantation there isn't a lot that they know for sure. The follow up that the clinic offer should give some advice (even if it is not official nhs advice).

Xxx

Yes, I do find it helps after when I know what the next steps are and have dates. But do realise we need some much needed time to enjoy life again! Thank you xx

Sorry to hear that. The only thing I can suggest is to talk to your clinic about which aspect of he cycle is causing the failures and how they feel you could improve things. For example, if they say egg quality then Iโ€™ve heard supplements like DHEA and CoQ10 can help. If they say it seems to be an implantation issue rather than embryo quality issue then you could look at implantation investigations. For now, take some time to recover from this cycle and look after yourself x

Sorry to hear this.

Keep the faith!

We had 1 BFN and waiting for our frozen. If this doesn't work we have to go private as it is a year waiting list.

Hope you can pick yourself up again for a 3rd cycle.

Oh god love you poor thing!! I'm so terribly sorry for that you're facing this! After all the previous failures and losses we got successful with ivf donor egg shot doing privately. I know the pain each bfn comes along with..If I got it right you still have one NHS shot left. I'd surely count on this one before before getting into somewhere near the hussle looking onto other options. But let me ask you, have you ever considered moving abroad for treatments in case? Stay strong, lovely brave woman, I wouldn't take the remaining shot out of the list this early. Hoping for your coming luck. Hugs x

Hi thank you for your reply. Yes we have another NHS cycle. We are looking at moving to another one of our local clinics. Just means a little delay to starting the next cycle. I read a lot on here about abroad treatments but think weโ€™d look around the UK first. X
