And breathe

So my last post I was getting pains in my lower abdomen on movement and when coughing etc, I'm 6 weeks from my LMP so had myself convinced that I was going to miscarry again.

Called my gp who is on holiday till next week :( started feeling very depressed!

I work in theatres so on mentioning it to one of the midwifes she told me to call the EPAU and tue afternoon they whisked me away for a scan just a hour later.

The scan showed my womb was thick but no baby, my heart sank. They took my blood to test hcg levels and said they would repeat them in 48hours. I went away distraught thinking this was the end of my journey.

The next morning my result was in, hcg levels were 492 so I wanted at least 800 today on my repeat.

Today was the longest day of my life, no sleep last night, stuck at work worrying, nauseated, emotional. I finally got my bloods done 3.20pm and had to wait for the results which took forever!

The result was 1892 more than doubled :) I could not stop crying I was so happy!!

So at least for now I can breathe a little easier, I know we have a long way to go but that's one hurdle cleared.

I have now got a scan booked in for the 14th June and all I can do is hope that all is OK and we can see our little bean!

Thank you all so much for your advice, kind words and support, and apologies for the wall of text I just had to share xxx
