So yesterday I had my scan, they still can’t find my left ovary but they don’t seem too worried. However because they can only see one side they have only counted 9 follicles which isn’t a lot.
So the mixing of menopur has began and I have my provisional EC date.
Very exciting but the nerves are kicking in now, just hoping it all goes to plan.

When I went for my first afc, the doc couldn’t see one of my ovaries as she said it was trapped behind my uterus and warned I may have endometriosis. I changed clinics (as I didn’t like the fear of god and hard sell tactics) and the three different nurses who’ve done them since haven’t had a problem. Perhaps you can see if a different person can do your follow-up scans up until et. Try not to be nervous. I got 5 eggs from 7 follies...it only takes one. x
Oh it’s not the first time it’s not shown it’s self and Iv now had 4 people try and have a hunt for it. You never know, I might not have a left one.
I’m just nervous about the collection mainly, I don’t respond well to anaesthetic. Iv had a few ops in the past and I don’t go off very easily. Also at the dentist it’s not worth me having the injection as it doesn’t make any difference to the pain. I’m just going to have to brace myself.
At my clinic, ec was done under sedation - not anaesthetic. You are completely out for the count with the cannula and gas/air but come round almost instantly afterwards and don’t feel groggy. I think it’s what most places do. Best of luck. I’m sure you’ll be fine.
