After the heartbreaking news last week that our sacs were empty and having surgery to remove them I have been so distraught, I have cried everyday and can’t get passed the fact that we thought we had finally made it and to have our dream snatched away from us. It’s so hard to put into words how devastated we both are, how are we supposed to carry on doing our normal daily things when a piece of our hearts are missing. I feel like I have a big cloud hanging over me constantly, I can’t find happiness in anything anymore and I think the only way for me to get through this pain is to focus on the next step.

I have gone into overdrive and googled everything to help with fertility, starting with vitamins!

I have read that royal jelly, Q10, omega 3/DHA and the normal pre conception tablets all help. Can anyone please advise if this is true? I feel like Ill be taking so many different vitamins and don’t want to take anything that will cause harm. Royal jelly contains vitamin a which I’ve heard is harmful but the benefits say royal jelly helps fertility. Everything seems so confusing and I just want to do my best for when we are ready to try again.

I have looked into home testing vitamin D levels, iron levels and b12 levels, also ruling out celiac disease. I feel like a crazy woman as I just want to be given some kind of answer, anything to explain what has happened, what went wrong. If I had a reason I think I would be able to focus and try and change it/help it but we have no idea and can’t do anything, I feel so helpless.

Sorry for the ‘crazy woman’ post I just need some reassurance that we are doing the right the thing.

I’m so sorry for both of you, I can’t imagine what you are going through.

I have seen a fertility dietician and she has recommended (for egg quality) royal jelly, ubiquinol, omega 3 and pregnacare max. She tested my omega 3 levels (nhs won’t do this)and it was low, I was also low on vitamin D, iron so I supplemented with those. I was getting headaches with pmt which is classic signs of low magnesium so having that as well. I start stim injections tomorrow so I can’t say yet if it’s made a difference. Although my follicle count as baseline scan has gone from 7 to 12. I also added in DHEA.

Good luck with your next step xxx

I think I might try this royal jelly, I have heard good things about it. I also think I will pester my doctor to check my vitamin levels as I want to make sure I have done everything I can for next time. Good luck with your injections I will keep my fingers crossed for you xx
