Me and my fiancé went to the GP to get his results from his semen sample. He gave this to us, however didn’t really explain what any of it meant, and I don’t see my GP for another two weeks. Can anyone help me as to what it means! I would be forever grateful! X

I’m not an expert but Morphology (shape and form) looks to be maybe a problem. Normal guidelines are 4% and higher so 2% is on the low side.. Everything else looks to be relatively normal xx
Hi Chloerarrr1234. This is showing that a large number of sperm are the wrong shape, and lots not swimming properly. This will need to be repeated in 2 months time to check if the result is persistent. May need to see an andrologist for further investigations eg blood test and testicular scanning. If things remain the same, then I believe the option offered would be ICSI. Good luck with it all. Diane
Hi Chloe. These look similar to my hubby’s results. We were offered ICSI as a result (where they manually select the best looking individual sperm and inject a single sperm into an egg) and we now have an almost 2 year old. If you’re not aIready on them, I would get your hubby on some conception multivitamins. If you do need ICSI then there are also other things you can do to improve sperm quality, but don’t want to bombard you with info whilst you’re still getting you’re head around the test results. I hope the retest shows better results for you.
Hi. Thank you so much for replying. I have a little more hope reading your comment! I am going to keep positive. I hope you don’t mind me following you xx
