A long 5 months since we started our last cycle, we finally have our follow up with the consultant on Wednesday!! I was so impatient to have everything happen sooner, but I finally have my head together again after our early MC, so I think itβs better this way. I can go in level-headed and figure out our next steps. I wonder if theyβll do any extra tests given our 2 x CP... Any advice on questions to ask would be much appreciated xx

Finally we have our follow-up! ππ
Good luck with your follow up. Sorry to ask this direct question but how early did you Mc? I'm lucky enough to have had a bfp but then paranoid about it succeeding! Good luck with everything xx
Hi Kathy, congratulations on your BFP!!! Thatβs wonderful news π€ The first time I tested positive 4 days before OTD, but started bleeding & was negative by OTD. So I guess that was around 4 weeks counting back to my last period. Second time I was 6 weeks (again counting back to my last period)... I kept testing positive for another 2 weeks after the MC though (painful cramping) as it takes a while for HCG to drop. I think in all honesty that the first 7 weeks are where the MC risk is highest, then it drops significantly after you have seen a heartbeat. I also think it is fully outside of our control... I think it comes down to embryo quality & there is only so much they can tell in a lab. Sorry for the rambling post... if you can, try not to worry, as the majority of pregnancies go on without issue. Wishing you absolutely every bit of luck for a healthy full term pregnancy xx
First of all so sorry to hear of your losses- had a chemical pregnancy last year and itβs truly devastating π
As you had 2 , I wonder if you can be refered to a miscarriage clinic for tests? I know each CCG has their own criteria, so you might need to check yours.
Have you had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy? A laparoscopy can check and treat endometriosis which may not always present symptoms, endometriosis can only be diagnosed by laparoscopy currently. A hysteroscopy can look closer inside your uterus- might be abke to see if there are any structural issues causing mc. You can have both these done together- I had both done on Friday- I have endometriosis and it returned after my mc.
Hopefully the other ladies will be able to advise more on mc investigations.
Good luck with your appointment xoxo
