When to go again after a chemical pregnancy

Hi lovelies, so we’ve got our follow up on the 14th, and to be honest with you I’m not sure they can shed much light on the chemical pregnancy, but what I was wondering if there is anything to say you’re more fertile after a chemical a bit like with a miscarriage? If so I’d be tempted to go again next month (I’ve got 3 embies in the freezer, and I’ve started my bleed today). Or do we wait, so fed up of waiting. I’m not sure if I’m meant to feel more sad, but it just seems like after 5 bad outcomes perhaps I’ve become s bit numb to it? Any advice always appreciated lovelies!

I hope the snow hasn’t caused too many dramas today! xxx

Hi Aleelilook. One clear cycle should do the trick, then off you go again, if you're up to it. Masses of luck coming your way! Diane

I don’t have any experience of a chemical pregnancy but I would say if you feel ready (if that’s even possible at this stage) then go again next month. I think we do become a bit numb as self protection xx

I can’t comment on the chemical pregnancy side but our first round failed which was January into the February 2017 then I took one month free in March and did my second round in the April & was successful, if you feel up to it then do it 😊 xx

Hiya, no don’t feel bad at all. Chemical pregnancies are nature’s way of flushing out chromosomal abnormalities. Remember around 50% of human embryos are abnormal even in fertile people. With an egg donor now, that’s essentially what you should be. You’re quite right to not be disheartened and to keep going...... it’s a numbers game. We were told that with a blasto there is a 33% chance of pregnancy so it made sense to me to go for at least 3 before exploring other options. Not that it doesn’t bankrupt you and drive you made in the process, stay strong xx
