I'm sorry, but I think this is really unlikely... also once you have them, they will intermittently clear but then will fill up again.. that could be one flaw in the acupuncture study.

I have got some experience in looking at medical studies and telling if they are worth taking seriously, post the link if you would like and I will take a look. (I had to study medical statistics and critical reading of medical research studies in the past)

I've also had hydros by the way due to endometriosis, and had my tubes removed. All I've read about hydros suggests to me that the inflammatory fluid in them that can leak out, is really negative for implantation, and your chances improve by 50% once tubes are removed. I also wonder if even before you can see the hydros on ultrasound, that there may be this inflamm fluid in them leaking out... I just think better off without them.

Thanks for this, i thought this was too good to be true as everyone would turn to acupuncture if it could get rid completely. The hydro came up in all of my scans getting ready for egg collection. The consultant did say this could have a huge impact on implantation.

Hi there. Yes, I totally agree with your comment; I'm sure the clinics would be the first to suggest acupuncture if there was evidence it works... same re all sorts of things we all try to be honest! They want their success rates to be up, so if there is good evidence things work.. I'd hope they'd be aware and suggest it.

How do you feel about having the tubes removed? Quite a few of us on this site have had it done. It can be done via laparoscopy which i expect you may have had before, just in for the day, and really quick recovery. My consultant siad that if I'd wanted to do prep for an embryo transfer a month later I could have done!

Best of luck and wisdom for all your decisions. I know this can seem like another stone in the road, and yet something else to deal with. In the end I decided to feel glad this had been spotted and could be dealt with... and who knew if these pesky tubes had been leaking nasty fluid for my previous cycles without us knowing it, because they weren't great big hydros seen on ultrasound...

take care, keep us posted xx
