Lining issues

Hi,I'm new here and I am looking for advice as I feel that my case is quite specific and outside the usual norm. I had a silent miscarriage 2 years ago, I then had a D&C which seems to have impacted my lining. Over the last year I was able to get three frozen embryos, however my lining has consistently become thinner over time, and even more so with the suprecur and with the estrogen & patches. Scratch and hysteroscopy also didn't make a difference. we have now gone in full circle and the doctors (ACU Kingston) want to go back to a natural cycle which we know hasn't worked before. Nobody seems to know why lining becomes thinner throughout the cycle and why it does what it does. If anyone has any advice or, or has had a similar situation and/or recommend someone who can help with this, I would be extremely grateful.

Many thanks,

I’m sorry to hear your story and good luck getting your BFP. I’ve not been in the situation myself but my lining was very thin initially during my current ivf cycle. my acupuncturist recommended beetroot juice, hot water bottle on lower abdomen and no exercise (my consultant said the same about the exercise ). My lining is now 8.9 and I have egg collection due on Thursday. I’m not sure if the lining would have increased anyway but might be worth a try ? Good luck with everything, sorry if I’m telling you things you already know xx

Hi Sasha_ I'm sure you are worried, but try some Vitamin E. Sometimes oestrogen can help. Another way to help with blood circulation to the womb is to eat a sixth or eight of a pineapple, including the core each day. Acupuncture can help too, but make sure the person is qualified to deal with fertility issues. probably just down to blood flow. Hope all is soon resolved. Thinking of you. Diane

Hi thank you all for your supportive and helpful comments, I really appreciate it.

Interestingly, a lot of the suggestions are around improving blood flow. I bruise really quickly and a consultant once told me to avoid all things that are natural blood thinners such as vitamins, garlic, herbal tea. I have informed the IVF clinic about this and they shrugged it off saying that it isn't linked and if anything this 'condition' should help with the blood flow around the lining. I can't help but think that the two are somewhat linked? I have been told several times not to worry about it but I am not sure it is their expertise exactly. Any thoughts on that or who I could contact to investigate further?

Thank you,

Hi Sasha_ I don’t know what else to say, except they must of looked into whether too much lining was removed when you had your D & C?? I’ve heard of using progynova patches too to build up lining. Also progesterone in some continuous form to help improve it. I’m rambling on now! Obviously I do hope they get to the bottom of the problem. Thinking of you. Diane
