FET Number 2 ✅

So we got the call yesterday at 7:50 to check we still wanted to go ahead with thawing our last embryo.... and assured he would call back within an hour.

One hour and twenty minutes ticks by and I start thinking ‘oh no it’s bad news, it must be bad news...’ then the phone call came to say it was looking good and had thawed really well, phew!

Transfer was booked for 11:30 so along we went, got suited up and waited to be taken through.

The transfer itself was really smooth and we got to see our embryo on the screen again which was nice. The embryo was an expanded blastocyst so wasn’t as advanced as the last two (first was hatching and second was fully hatched). But we were assured it was good quality. Hubby was great and distracted me with talk of our planned bonfire night party 😊

So now we are waiting patiently for results day, which will be 9th November. I’ve started on the steroids as recommended by Siobhan Quenby, and I’m also on cyclogest to support the pregnancy (this was a natural cycle so my clinic usually wouldn’t give any medication).

Keep everything crossed for us ladies... hoping and praying this is the one 🤞

Thanks Vic, what blood thinners are you on? My miscarriage clinic have suggested heparin but only once they have seen a pregnancy on ultrasound xx

prednisolone I think it's called..yikes these days id pop any pills in my mouth😂xx

Oh I think that must be the steroid as I’m on prednisolone too. I know what you mean, we’d try anything wouldn’t we 😂xxx

Yikes see I don't even know what I am putting in my body 😧I am injecting clexane too maybe that's the blood thinner xxx

Yeah think I have heard of that one before. Did you have blood clotting issues or have they put you on it anyway? Xxx

Not that I was aware of. Think they just trying anything and to be honest I don't want more tests so just give me the drugs as if there was an issue as long as they don't cause harm then all good xx

It went well, they gave me gas and air lol. I don't know how I would have been without it! I have my second test booked for tomorrow then should hopefully get the results back. It's been so nice taking a break from it all, hopefully we both have some good news soon!
