Boyf taking propecia, will this affect his fertility?

Hi guys

As the title says my partners started taking propecia for hair loss, I’ve turned to google and have read mixed things about it, how it can affect his sperm and birth defects to a baby, but I’ve also read that some people have conceived and baby was healthy, he said his dr didn’t mention anything, we’re not dus to start our ivf till next year but I’m worried his sperm will be rubbish and the dr will tell us we have to wait until he’s off it, has anyone experienced a healthy pregnant whilst there partners have used this?
