Hi

I have a fertility appointment next month for me. Found out I had low testosterone recently through a private blood test.

so after reading up managed to fix the symptoms of this with korean ginseng an ashwaganda tablets

So I'm hoping when I see the fertility specialist that my testosterone is now normal and my sperm count is good.

As in the past I've tested as having low sperm count on a home test.

Anyway on to the advice.

What sort of food drinks will help boost my male fertility?

My other question my partner has tried in the past with another partner to get pregnant.

She has pcos an was told last time that she needed to loose half her body weight to even have a chance of conceiving.

As her bmi is over 30.

We have researched and found things like ivf clinics want bmi under 30.

Now my question is there anything my partner can do to significantly loose weight? That would be fast. So we can improve our chances an go for ivf.

As we've looked at weight loss operations but they say they aren't good if you want to conceive in near future.

Just trying to ensure we both are as fertile as we can be

You need to lose weight slowly and steadily. Around 2 pounds per week is optimum. A sudden drop in weight is no good for the body or the fertility. I'd say reduce the same way everyone else does. Spend some time running, get a workout regime and follow a strict diet plan. It should take around 6-7 months for her to get to a normal BMI. Thereafter, you can start your fertility assistance. Bariatrics does work but not sure if it has some implications on conceiving. Liposuction is safe in terms of fertility but has other implications which may affect health. Also, don't go for any steroid, there are a few available in market tagged as the magic pill or sort of catchy names - It does more harm than good. I'd say go the natural way, it takes time but is the healthiest of methods, plus you get a habit of fitness.
