I hope you have all had a good Friday, the weekend is finally here!
Some of you may remember me from back at the start of the year when I had my failed 1st icsi attempt, and unfortunately lost out on my free frozen transfer as we had none to freeze.
So I took a break away as I needed to save 5k to go through another round.
For all the new people on here I have mild pcos and my partner has low sperm count and his mobility is under 1%.
So we have been saving away which has proved a lot harder than we thought but.........
this week I've found out that when my great grandad passed away he left all the grandchildren 12k each which was put into shares, I've now been made aware of this and it turns out that one of the shares looks like if I was to sell it now I'd get back a huge amount which will fund my next round of icsi.
So cut a long story short I've contacted the fertility clinic and it looks like I will be going for my second round in January so giving them my Nov period!!!
In the mean time whilst I've been saving they have had me on metformin to try and get me ovulating and my period cycles have gone from 50 day cycles bk to 30!!! Which is amazing, I'm having my day 21 bloods done next month to tell if I'm ovulating or not (fingers crossed I am) So thing are finally looking up for me and I can get all excited again.

I know, it's crazy as I hardly new the man and he is now going to help me out in such a big way. All my cousins have brother houses etc and I can't believe I've only just been made aware of it.

sanj76 so lovely to hear from you, can't believe you've only got a few weeks left to go, time has flown by, I'm really well thank you just very excited to get started again but still a few months to go as just need to finalise all the money etc, but hopefully it will all be worth it xx

Im doing good thank you, as you know I was the same as you with no nhs frozen round but we had our fresh round in April & now we are 25 weeks pregnant expecting a girl so I really hope everything works out for you too and soon πxx
Awww that's so amazing Laura3101 a lovely little girl, I'm really hoping it's second time lucky for us too. We're your embryos a lot strong the second time round? Xxxx
Yeah they were! The first round grade was a 4cb that didn't work & this one that worked was a 5ba so near top grade. My drugs were pretty much the same just a slight increase in menopur & they added daily clexane injections too. We also had an embryo to freeze this time too! Xx
Oh that's amazing, ours weren't strong enough to take to day 5 to get the grades like you, but that's such good news for you, my OH sperm mobility are so low that I worry it's not going to be great again xxx
My partners wasn't high really either, I can't remember the exact figures now but it came in the sub fertility group which is when its less than 4%. It's all about the Icsi and what they chose so fingers crossed they will get the best ones out for you π xx

Aww bless you hun. Its such a nice thing. I lost three of my grandparents earlier this year and I'm using their money to fund our cycle. I know its exactly what they would want. Wishing you lots of luck xx
Oh I'm sorry to hear you lost 3 of them all in one year, I'm sure they will be watching down on you with everything crossed for you, it's amazing knowing they are helping you with the most amazing gift possible. I wish you all the luck there is. Xxx

I really hope so too. It's such a rubbish process. We have made and lost friends along the way. Some ppl try to get it others are ignorant. You have to focus on yourselves as a couple and family. All the best. Keep me updated xx
I'm quite luck as my best friend and another friend in our group have all gone through ivf so I'm very lucky to have such supporting friends but for some people they just don't understand which is why I love this site.

I'm 5 weeks ( I think ) and like an utter lunatic. Still in shock it happened naturally after all these years. I check my underwear about 20 times a day. Been here twice before, but just trying to savour the moment too. X
Hahaha check your underwear 20times!! Bless your cottons. Well you totally deserve it, and I'm so happy for you that it has happened naturally and didn't have to put your body thought more ivf. You going to pay for an early scan or just wait till 12 was? Xxx
Thanks Emma Jane that's so lovely of you to say. I know in blessed to have gotten this far naturally for sure. My Clinic told me to tell my gp straight away and they ll book me in for an early scan at 7 weeks as I have had a previous ectopic so they should do that for me as a precaution. I have put off telling my gp as I was afraid I was just gonna start bleeding so what was the point but I'll go in tomorrow. Wonder do 'normal' women feel like this when they find out they are pregers! π X
Unfortunately normal women who get pregnant don't have to go through the ivf cycle which makes you aware of the risks, where as we get made of every risk going so you are bound to be scared/worried about every pain or spotting etc. I'm so sorry to hear you had an ectopic which is also bound to make you worried, but definitely book in with your GP so you can have the early scan and have the support. Pregnancy is never a relaxing thing until the baby has been born I think. But I'm sure everything will be fine for you and I hope you go on to have a happy and healthy pregnancy Hun xxx
