12 week scan update *scan picture*

Hi ladies,

It's been a while since I posted & this will probably be my last post for a while.

Had my 12 week scan today and all looking good and as it should. Baby measured exactly 12 weeks so confirmed due date as 2nd March.

I really don't know how I would have gotten through my IVF journey if it hadn't been for the amazing support from the awesome people on this forum. My journey has been comparatively short compared to some but everyone on here has been so welcoming, understanding & happy to offer advice & support at every stage when they could. I know that this would have been so much harder without this forum & I really can't thank you enough.

I will still check in from time to time to see how you're all doing & will offer support & advice if I can.

Thank you again & sending all the baby dust in the world to everyone - keep strong IVF warriors - you've got this 🌌🌌🌌🌌

Congratulations again, mine is next week. Ivf seems like a distant memory now. Although felt never ending whilst planning and going through it. I am also thankful for this site to help me feel less alone and supported x

Thats amazing, well done!! I am just over a week behind you and have got clinic scan on Monday and 12 week nhs scan the following week. Nervous and excited at the same time xx

Blimmin' awesome! 😁 So happy for u!...I'm due only 8 days after you but only had my 1st midwife appointment yesterday and was told I'll likely have to wait til nearly 14wks for my 12wk scan 😣...all this waiting is driving me nuts. Hope you're feeling ok in yourself? I have good and bad days...although I've had insomnia since I got my bfp (great prep for all the sleepless nights apparently...but enough already lol!)

Thanks Oakey80! I only had my first midwife last Friday & then scan today - I really hope that you don't have to wait too long (bit on the positive side it wouldn't be as long to wait until the next scan) I know, the waiting side of things is tricky. I'm good thanks, waking up early at the moment but think it was just anxiety about today. I'm sure the insomnia will pass, maybe try warm baths, warm drinks, meditation, a notebook next to your bed to write in....

Aw well that gives me some hope we won't have to wait another 3wks 🙈...although our midwife explained we're not a priority as we've decided against the nuchal scan.

She said we probably won't get the booking letter til I'm 12wks and there's a bit of a back log and a bank holiday holding things up 😣)

I've tried all the right things to stay asleep but 2.45 comes and bang I'm awake. Last night I had the warm bath, Horlicks and no screen time an hour before sleep but nope, couldn't get to sleep...ended up decamping to the spare room!...so annoying...but lucky that's all I have to complain about.

Deffo keep in touch...you never know, they might share a birthday! xxx

Bless you, its so hard waiting! Hope the letter won't take too long to come through.

It's really hard when you can't stay asleep - I'm like that but at 5am! It's usually when I've got up for a second pee! When I had my 1st, people used to say to me that when I woke in the night, that would be the time baby would wake.
