Can I exercise after egg collection & being over stimulated by gonal f

Egg collection was on the 19th. Just had a scan to see if my ovaries had recovered yet from being over stimulated, which they haven't. Can I get back to exercise?

I never over stimulated but after EC I was given a sheet included do's/dont's for certain exercise. Maybe give your clinic a ring just to double check though? X

Hi Stephredhead. I would be very careful. For when you exercise too much you will obviously lose even more fluid through perspiration. Just stick to having a couple of walks a day, until you are completely better. Still keep an eye on you urineboutput too, and keep up with the fluids. Good luck! Diane

Hi Diane, was urineboutput a typo as otherwise I have no idea what it means. So last Saturday started spotting for my withdrawal bleed and I was at a wedding and forgot that dancing like a crazy person probably counts as exercise. I suffer from bad endometriosis pain and the next day it was super bad, wondering if the dancing made it worse or it was always going to be especially bad after the egg collection?

Also I had to go short protocol as I didn't respond to buserlin, but now they are saying I need to go on buserlin in advance of the implantation. Why would this be when i didn't react to it? Also I had to work from home during the withdrawal from buserlin as I could stop crying, and surely I don't want to be having that sort of bad withdrawal when I'm trying to get the egg to implant successfully?

Sometimes, although rarely, if you over stimulate badly it can cause your urine output to go down, that's why they tell you to drink extra water. I would expect the buserelin has been prescribed to hopefully prevent any chance of over stimulating, and is often prescribed for a short protocol. Good luck! Diane

Mine were overstimulated (and still are) and I asked my doctor the question about exercise and was told not until they had gone down to a normal size due to the risk of ovarian torsion. Obviously everyone's different and it's a question only your doctor can definitively answer but I'd be careful. As Diane mentions, I was told gentle walking is ok.
