Endo scratch irrational fear

I'm due to have my endo scratch on Thursday and I feel absolutely terrified! I know it's irrational I had it last cycle but opted for sedation. Is it quick? I'm so worried ill make a show if myself 😔

I think that's totally understandable, I was the same with my 2. I thought it went quick especially the 2nd time, a little uncomfortable like a smear but not painful x

Thank you I know I'm being silly I hate anything medical I think it's the being vulnerable in front of people I don't like. Thanks for your reply x

I'm exactly the same - no matter how long Ive been having treatment for and try to tell myself I've been through it all before I can't stop myself becoming irrational on the build up to apts. Good luck, hope it goes okay x

The appointment lasted 10mins. The actual scratching itself about 20 seconds. It's like an intense period pain and after I was a bit tender but not in pain. Hope that helps good luck with your cycle xxx

My first one was a breeze, very quick and just a bit uncomfortable. My next one was more difficult (last week) but you can do this! 💪🏻 xx

I've done it three times altogether and I don't find any pleasant but it's over quickly and surely can't be that bad if I went back twice more after number one!! Remember to take some strong painkillers around an hour beforehand. I guess you could always maybe get a diazepam from your GP if you need something a bit stronger?! However I'm sure you'll be fine! You got this!!xx
