Esmya for Fibroids

I have been advised to take Esmya to shrink Fibroids but have read the list of side effects and am worried about commencing the treatement, especially as most of them seem to be common. Has anyone had experience with Esmya for Fibroids?

Hi DeniseChinyere. Try no to worry too much about this treatment. It is designed to shrink fibroids down, and appears to be very good at what it does! It works by blocking the hormone progesterone, so you will find that you do not have periods while taking the drug, and you won't be able to get pregnant. This effect may take a few weeks to rectify itself once the course of treatment is finished. Just anted to wish you well with the treatment, and that it shrinks your fibroids right down. Diane
