FET success from same batch as failed fresh transfer?

Hi

Can anyone give me a positive outcome from a frozen transfer from the same batch of embryos in which the fresh transfer failed?

Just read a post from Robert Winston where he says as frozen embryos are from the same batch, success is unlikely.

Any thoughts gratefully received.

Thanks x

I had a missed miscarriage but I got that at 8 weeks from my first fet. The embryo was a slightly lower grade than the fresh one too. X

Hi

Nope I believe that frozen transfers can be successful from the same batch.

From fresh transfer I had a miscarriage. But from the fet I have a gorgeous little one, who is now 11 months 😘.

All the best

I had a 2dt 5aa grade embie put back which resulted in a bfn...out of the same batch I have 3 x 5aa 2d in the freezer and 2 x 5d blastocysts (both 4bb...these were the 2d underdogs)...they're now growing the 3 x 2d to blastocysts to increase their chance of working so the result remains to be seen. I'm not worried though...physically and emotionally I feel much more prepared this time round and I think that this speaks for itself xxx

My frozen from the same failed fresh 3 years ago gave me my little boy now 6 months old. Only difference being the fresh was only a day 3 transfer. X

My friend had success with a fet from the same batch. I think that it's quite a sweeping statement. There are so many variations in the embryos development from the same batch that I don't think we can generalise. I am doing my fet in one weeks time. So I shall let you know the outcome. Xx

I've never heard of this but it is interesting to hear other people's experiences. For us our fresh cycle failed with the best grade embryo, we then had a FET with two embryos. One made it and we have a lovely 4 month baby boy. We still have an embryo in the freezer from the same batch. Good luck with your cycle xx

I had a successful Fet with a lower grades embryo following a fresh cycle. The only thing I did differently was a scratch and prednsolone. Good luck!

Hi there,

I had my first round of IVF last summer. 4 eggs were collected, 2 of which we put back and failed (chemical pregnancy), 2 of which we froze. In November I had a completely natural FET with the remaining 2 frozen embryos and am currently 25 weeks pregnant with a little girl, so I can vouch that this is not the case!

Good luck! X

I went through my first treatment along with another lovely lady on here last year. Sadly she miscarried just days after her BFP. However in Decemeber she had a frozen transfer and her pregnancy is ticking along nicely so definitely a positive outcome for her from the same batch! Good luck!xx
