BPC before IVF with endometriosis?

Hello Ladies, I have some doubts about my protocol. I'm in BCP since my last period untill february when i'm going to start an IVF cycle. Any similar experiences?

I have moderate endometriosis, high FSH (12,7) and low AMH (1.1 ng/ml),

Thank you!

I have sever endometriosis and because of that I was advised to have three months of zoladex implants before I started IVF. It's job is to put you into a temporary menopause with the aim of taming the growth of the endometriosis. I went straight from this into my first IVF cycle which started in September. I got a BFP on 1st November.

My advice would be to make sure you feel completely comfortable with your treatment plan. If you have questions talk to your consultant/clinic. They won't mind explaining the evidence behind their advice which may help put your mind at ease. Good luck xx

Hi KGipp congrats on your bfp. :-)

I hope you don't mind me asking about the zoladex. How did you feel on it? Also what meds did you take, and when, to prepare your body for stims? I am going for FET so my goal isnt growing follicles, but thickening up endometrium, and I can't get my head around this. Thanks!

Thank you.

Please know that everyone reacts differently to Zoladex. I did a lot of research on it and for some it works wonders and for others it makes things worse so I am a firm believer that you need to give it a go to see how you react to it. For me, it did reduce my endometriosis symptoms but the menopausal side effects were horrid. I suffered headaches, hot flushes and mood swings. I persevered as I knew it was to aid the IVF but it isn't something I'd want to do again.

I had a fresh cycle so will probably be different to you but when I had my third and final zoladex implant I called the clinic and started taking buserelin 21 days after. I was on this for three weeks before I stated stimulating on gonal-f.

I wish you the very best of luck xx

Many thanks for your response. I have read lots about it and the side effects worry me, but yes will do all I can to help with implanting. Your details on meds is very helpful. Thanks so much and I wish you a smooth journey onwards. Xx

Hi. My clinic has a slightly different approach and advised me (as I'm 37 with low egg reserve AMH 3) to try to collect eggs over 3 cycles of IVF and freeze embryos before dealing with endo. I now have frozen embryos and need my tubes blocked, but re endometriosis I am to go on zoladex for a couple of months to suppress it then kickstart body to prepare for FET.
