Sorry ladies, basically I've taken norethisterone for the first time in 2 years (I usually take provera or another alternative) I finished taking them a week ago and have been waiting for AF. So, this morning she arrived, in my excitement and anticipation I ring the clinic to set up my appointment to start my ovulation induction injections tomorrow. Then, later on, I realized AF had calmed down, was still there but not fully. Closer inspection, I realised it had become like a blood tinged snot like consistency (sorry! Gross, I know) now I'm worried. Never had this before and have had many many many tablet induced AF. Worried I'll be wasting time now by going to the hospital tomorrow. What would you ladies do? Or have any of you been in a similar situation? Thank you xx

Too much info! Norethisterone.
Hi Bms12, I was on microgynon for a month then had to wait for same and same thing happened to me, but I didn't think it was the complete event and as it was over the weekend thought I'd just call clinic on Monday. On Tuesday I went in for scan and she said that my follicles were bigger than they would have liked to start, so looks like we will have to postpone the cycle til next month. I'm waiting to hear from them exactly the course of action but I didn't even start my medication. She said it's better to start next cycle as sometimes starting too late in cycle can cause problems later. I'm disappointed as was keen to start and had planned it all with work but I'd rather wait for the right time. She said I might have to go on norethisterone but a waiting to hear confirmation as the lady who scanned was going to discuss with my dr. Did they say to start meds? If not then don't worry they will tell you more when they scan and maybe you just postpone cycle til next month like me. It maybe different situation but sounds similar. Don't worry about wasting the hospital time everyone is different and I'm sure they are used to this happening. It's just frustrating when you are working yourself up to it! All the best and let me know how you get on. X
So just finished my appointment, explained everything that was going on, but It perked up a bit over night so was a bit more normal. Had my scan and they said I was fine to start - my husband enjoyed injecting me haha. My next appointment is a week today so fingers crossed for some good news and an easier fix if not it's up a dose! Honestly the injections are fine it doesn't hurt! I was really nervous, and yeah I know how you feel. Thought I would be starting a month ago but things didn't go right! Hopefully thinns will get moving for us both! You'll have to keep me posted on how you go on x
