Caved and tested early

I caved and tested early. I had one of the 'early' tests that has a line or a plus. There is a clear line but there maybe a faint cross. It's so faint I'm not sure if I'm imagining it or not. Does anyone know if you can see a very faint line where the cross is supposed to go? I don't want to get my hopes up for no reason.

You can get faint lines on the cross ones...

You can't really see it on the photo. I've been googling and it doesn't look good. 😔

The photos a bit blurry, but I can see a faint positive line. You have to remember that you have got another 4 days until OTD so earlier testing will give fainter results as the levels increase. They just say that the only thing that can affect your results is the trigger shot as that stays in your system for 12 days.

Thanks, I'm actually shaking still. I'm scared to get my hopes up until I'm sure. I don't want to put myself through that so I'm going to stick with 'it hasn't worked' until I know it has.

I know what you mean.

I needed to mentally prepare myself by testing early, but I told myself that whatever the results, I know it can change from day to day. It does become additive though!!

I can see a faint cross too! The result can be weaker later in the day so it may be stronger if you try again tomorrow morning?

There are loads of people on google slating the clear blue tests for having false positives, especially early tests, so I'll just have to continue 'waiting and seeing'. Grrr 😉

First response early tests are a bit more reliable than the Clearblue ones. I can see a faint positive on your test too. Will keep my fingers crossed for you. X

I did another test this morning and it says positive as well! It's still faint but I'm starting to believe it. Fingers crossed for my bloods on Thursday. Xx

I deff can see faint positive! Also wanted to say its all depends on clinic and OTD could be the actual day of ur AF coming ( if u r not pregnant) or 3 days aftet that ( like in my clinic)

I tested 4 days bgire otd but it was 1 day bfore AF... 8dp5dt and it was very clear positive ( ive done like clearblue digital, clearblue and the cheapest one you can buy from eBay)

Im now waiting for my viability scan and tgats another 2ww...

I'm pretty sure AF is due on Thursday so my clinic must test on the day. The 2ww is agonising enough without being asked to wait 3 extra days 😖. Good luck with your scans, hope it all goes well. Xx

Did a digital test this evening and it said not pregnant. 😰

Remember that different tests pick up different hormone levels...

Remember it will be much weaker in the evening, especially if you have been drinking lots of water! Fingers crossed X

Unfortunately I did 3 more tests this morning and they all came back negative. Hopefully, if nothing else, this will let other people know that the early blue dye tests can give false positives. I wish I had known that a few days ago.
