Buserelin and side effects

Hi to all. Hope you are all ok. I'm on day 8 of buserelin injections and came on my period last night. I've been getting a lot of headaches and feeling very weak and dizzy. Did anyone else experience this?

Hi heda123. Unfortunately, Buserelin has the reputation of having lots of side effects during down regulation. What you have described are the most common ones. Hopefully, you won’t be on it for too much longer, and then you can go to the next stage of your treatment cycle. Hope all goes well for you. Diane

Hi Diane,

Thanks for your reply. Yes unfortunately I'll have to just bear with it. Couldn't go into work today due to the symptoms. I also Have lupus and anti phospholipid syndrome so that doesn't help too.

Hi there, sorry to hear Buserelin's side effects are getting at you.

I am due to take my last injection of it tonight (as having my egg collection on Wednesday) after being on it since the 24th March! It has given me horrendous headaches which have a lot of the time turned into migranes. I also felt very tired and a little woozy on it. It did ease a bit and and not be as bad every day but there wasn't much respite. Hope yours doesn't last as long.

Hi good luck with egg collection and sorry that you've also had bad side effects. I hope it eases off soon I'd rather be at work than to stay in bed unable to do much!

Yeh it's so frustrating when our bodies interfere with getting on with our life isn't it.

I have had them for about 2weeks and had a lot of headaches! An mood swings think it's quite normal to feel side effects

Well its good to know that its normal. Are we ok to take pain killers? Diane if you read this then please reply.
