Can i demand 2 embryo transfer

Hi ladies.can any1 tell me if i can demand to have 2 embryos transferd instead of 1.im having my cycles with the nhs and my clinic insist that i can only have 1 transferd but surely its my choice as they ar my eggs.x

We did insist but we were private. I think if on the nhs then it is only 1 but keep trying for 2. We had 2 transferred, both took but now only 1 growing

I had 2eggs transferred on my first round of ivf on the nhs but thats because the grading of the eggs were not that good second round I had a top grade embryo so they would only transfer one as more than one baby could cause complications? Goodluck on ur journey xx

Most clinics have a strict protocol on whether they transfer 1 or 2 embryos, it depends on ur age, quality of embryos, whether it's first or 2nd cycle etc!! This is because of the increase in multiple births due to fertility treatment and the risks involved to mother and babies in multiples!! Because of my age and it was my first cycle they would only transfer one however due to the quality of the embryos I could have 2 transferred if I wanted!! So things can change!!
