I have spoken to the doctors receptionist and she has told me that my results are irregular (12.5). I was told my first lot of bloods were normal, I am already being referred for fertility investigations as my partner has a low sperm count. Not sure what to make of my blood results
Please can somebody explain the day 2... - Fertility Network UK
Please can somebody explain the day 21 serum progesterone levels to me
Hi. Your Day 21 progesterone test, hopefully should have been done on Day 21 of your menstrual cycle as it suggests. You can delay it by a day, but providing it was done at the correct time, the level should read more than 30. This then tells you that you have ovulated that month. Obviously, anything below cannot assure ovulation. This then may point to a hormonal imbalance, which can often be corrected with drugs. However, as your partner has problems with his semen analysis, then it is good you have been referred to a specialist, as it may be that you could need some form of infertility treatment. I wish you both well with this. Kind regards Diane
Hi, I am in the same situation there were months my bloods were below 3 and then months they were 29.9. I was told these levels reflect if you are ovulating or not anything under 30 suggests you are less likely to be ovulating but that doesn't mean there will be months that you will be, this level fluctuates every month. Hopefully once you see the specialist they can help you with fertility treatment, wish you well and take care
How long is your cycle? If you have a longer cycle you may not have ovulated by day 21. Good luck
